Sheryl stopped her car in front of the house and said, “I need to call someone, so you take care of your business here. I’ll be waiting outside. We’ll go to a doctor to get your head wound checked after that.”

“Okay,” Denver stepped out of the car with effort because he was a big man. He didn’t think he’d enter this house again so soon. But because he knew that Diane was not in the house, he believed that this was the right time for him to take the items he wanted.

One of the neighbors who was walking their dog, an adult brown rottweiler, in the middle of the day tried to chat with him, seeing that he stepped out of a luxury car, but Denver said he was busy right now. The dog, however, came to him and began to rub its body. He gave it a couple of pats. “I don’t have any food right now, Payne. Next time.” He told the dog and then quickly entered the house and was about to go upstairs in a hurry.

“Denver, who broke the table lamp?” a voice reached his ears.
