Trees stood tall and plants bloomed in vibrant hues inside the Lost Garden, constantly covered in a thick fog.

Their vibrant allure was just a trap for the unwary.

Beasts roamed among the verdant foliage, their forms twisted by the toxic flora they consumed, becoming monstrous guardians of this eerie paradise.

The air past the entrance gate was heavy with the sickly sweetness of poison-laden flowers, and beneath the twisting trunks of trees, the ground crawled with vines that seemed alive.

One of the giant fruits had fallen from the tree, which was what made the noise.

Catherine walked up to the fruit, and a worm burst out of it. Denver caught the worm before it attacked her. He squeezed it with both hands and burst it into two pieces.

Catherine was still frozen by what happened. That worm was thicker than a snake. If it had bitten her, she might have lost a chunk of meat at least.

Before her heart could even slow down, they heard another screeching noise.

“W-What is it now?” tremblin

Alex, a skilled warrior and the hope of a struggling village, stood in the middle of the foreboding forest-esque Lost Garden.Standing in front of him was Ripley, with her striking auburn hair cascading like a waterfall down her back. She was fierce and clever, an unwavering source of strength for Zack and had fought alongside him many times.“We thought you’d become a capable subordinate of ours,” Ripley said. “You are quick-witted, but you are not loyal.”“I never swore my loyalty to you two,” Alex blurted while bleeding from his broken arm. “I only broke the contract because I’m growing tired of people dying in this sick garden. If I had known what I was walking into, I would have never taken this offer!”“You came from Mura village, right?” Zack, the spiky haired muscular man in sleeveless attire, calmly stated while meditating on a blind tiger. His eyes were as sharp as those of a tiger’s. “If you die now, what will happen to your village? Who’s going to feed them?”Alex frowned.

The monsters were all abnormally large and extremely horrifying: a house cat with a crooked spine was as big as a bull, a twin-headed gorilla drooling out acids that melted grass, a one-eyed sparrow with its feather leaking out poisonous vapors, a giant worm whose mouth looked like a gateway to hell, and a cricket that was grinning like the devil himself.Every beast was a disaster in itself. The poison thickened the air.But the poison also affected Denver and brought about an involuntary reaction from his body.Red aura released from his body and cast the poisonous vapor away from his surroundings.Seeing that, Sheryl, who was planning on attacking first, took a step back. (That is…) She came to Catherine and grabbed her hand. “We should get away from him.”“Why? What’s wrong?” Catherine asked. “What is that red gas leaking out of his body? Is it the after effect of the millennium herb?”“No, it is called bloodlet,” Sheryl responded. “It’s going to get dangerous here, so let’s go.”

After Catherine fainted, Denver caught her before she collapsed to the ground. The moment Denver sat on the ground with her, a few monsters rushed in and attacked them, wanting to make use of this situation to kill them.Sheryl fought beasts on one side, and Alex fought the beasts on another side, but there were too many for her to deal with, so Denver and Sheryl had to temporarily run away from there. The carnivorous trees also tried to catch them with their vines, but failed to do so as Alex led them through a secret passage which led them to enter the stone caves.Stone caves were an underground network of dungeons, where creatures stranger and stronger than the ones in the Lost Garden lived. There was no light in the tunnels of the stone caves. It was completely dark ahead of them.Alex took out a cigar lighter. “It is suicidal to enter this place without proper preparting, but we had no choice, so let’s find the nearest way out.”“First of all, we have to treat Catherine,” Denver

There were dozens of red eyes glowing in the darkness, which made Alex step back in trepidation.“These growls… they’re the dungeon jackals!” Alex quickly said. “They are smart, and there are so many of them. Even the slightest of wind gusts will turn this cigar lighter off, and we’ll become like sitting ducks to these jackals.”“Dude…” Sheryl pushed him aside. “Didn’t you hear us tell you that we’ve been here before? If those jackals are smart, they’ll know whom to pick a fight with and whom to not!”She released aura through her body, which was barely felt by Alex, and it also made the light flicker. However, the jackals which were closing in suddenly stopped. After sensing the aura, they were hesitant at first.Sheryl released more aura in the direction of the jackals, and they all turned and ran away.“The red eyes are gone,” Alex was quite surprised. “I’ve never seen those beasts retreat without even putting up a fight. Did you use aura? How did you do it?”“It’s not something yo

Sheryl couldn’t help but frown while looking at the old man with a hawk tattoo on his fully shaved head. (This bastard faked his aura and tricked us into coming here. I can’t believe I took the bait. Forget about getting a treasure, if he wants to make things difficult for us…) “What are you doing here, Penal Master?” she asked aloud.Drake wasn’t even looking at Sheryl. His gaze was on the tallest man. “Don Denver… you broke the code and went on a personal mission for three years.”“And the king has already stripped him of his rank,” Sheryl was quick to reply. “There’s nothing more for you to add to the king’s decree… unless you’re siding with one of the rankers and are taking their side, which means you are not fit to be the head of the penal hall since that position requires you to be neutral.”She had to talk provocatively in order to grab his attention.“Green Fang…” Drake’s eyes turned darker. “You didn’t stop your boss from leaving, so you should receive punishment as well.”“

“If you’re not going to do what’s good for you, then I will have to beat you and throw you in the dark cell by force,” Drake approached them, holding the black aural sword.“Didn’t my dad already punish me?” Denver asked while still carrying Catherine on his shoulder. “Why are you doing this now?”He didn’t want to fight Drake if possible, especially because of Catherine and Sheryl’s current situation.“I’m doing this for your own good,” Drake replied in a sharp tone. “Put that woman down if you don’t want her to get caught up in our fight.”Denver frowned.Feeling deprived of a better choice, he put Catherine next to Sheryl and said, “Stay back and stay alert.”“Boss, don’t keep your eyes on his sword,” Sheryl advised, “or you’ll lose.” She had already taken a healing pellet, so her bleeding stopped.“I’ll keep that in mind,” Denver clenched his fists, and red fumes released from his fists, turned into electricity and crackled the air around him.It soon spread throughout his body an

An area of over 12,000 sq ft was destroyed.Rubble was all that remained.Part of the stone caves were now exposed to the sky.Sheryl stood at the border of the destruction while carrying Catherine on her shoulder. Her heart beat anxiously. “Boss! Are you there?” she yelled.A giant pillar of black fire burst out of the rubble and then evaporated pretty fast, revealing Drake who was floating in midair,He had black wings made out of aura.He stared down at Denver who was holding Alex by the shirt.Denver was bleeding from the forehead, but his gaze was locked on Drake. His body felt like a blazing furnace from having used the blood lightning to a great extent.Still, he didn’t show any discomfort.Alex, on the other hand, was not conscious and was wounded. But he was still alive.“You stretched out your aura to destroy the falling blocks before it hit him,” Drake muttered. “I almost want to rejoice for witnessing such a brilliant move while our skulls clashed.”He came floating down a

She quickly gave him a kiss.Seeing that, Alex’s eyes turned a little wider.Denver was feeling hot inside because of having to push himself to fight Drake, but Catherine’s kiss surprisingly made him feel better. It was just a simple kiss, but it was priceless to him.At the same time, he was wondering if he should tell Catherine about his past. After thinking about it, he said, “Cat, I might have killed some people in the past.”“Okay. So?”“Even women.”“So?” Catherine didn’t seem upset about it. “Don’t tell me you killed children, too?”“I don’t think so, but I don’t know,” Denver hesitantly said. “My memories are slowly coming back, but

They have the power to do it. Tsk, at this rate, I’ll have to pay him a visit to find out his current situation, whether he's alive or not.”Diane glanced at the nurse. “Bring me pistachio milk. I like it cold.”“Y-Yes, ma’am,” the nurse didn’t mind doing chores for Diane because the head nurse had ordered all the nurses to take great care of Diane and the brothers. After the nurse left, Diane started talking with the system.“They are doing all the tests for me even though I look fine,” Diane snickered. “The doctors really love money, but I’m not going to pay them anything. If the men who admitted me here pay for me, it’s fine, but if they leave it to me, I won’t pay a dime. Also if it shows in

It melted into the rest of the car.”Big Dog also joined and forcefully tore apart the back door. They were expecting severe casualties, but Diane stepped out with minor wounds and coughing.“P-Please save him,” she hurriedly said and collapsed to the side. However, to her surprise and confusion, the brothers grabbed her and rushed to

She’s not simple, so don’t underestimate her and let your guard down.”“Hmph, of course I know that she’s not simple,” Diane snorted. “She’s the owner of one of the biggest banks in the world. I’m sure she has crazy influence around the world, but with you by my side, I’m also sure that I can fight back against such bigwigs. Don’t you agree?”“I do agree,” the sy

It even upset her.“Yeah. Depending on whether you did what I said or not, you will either keep or lose your job,” Jessica warned.Diane then showed all the recordings that were on her mobile.Jessica looked at Russell. “What do you think?”“You asked for ten. She brought twelve. So, what’s there to think?” Russell spoke calmly. He looked calm but also a little tough and difficult to understand.

It felt like I was going to lose my chad.”“You mean you were going to lose your shrimp.”“Hmph, you’re going to regret it if you keep talking to me like that,” Marlon warned. “I’m not the type who’d go easy on women just because they’re women.”Diane took out her identity card.“Finance director? Who? You?” Marlon slightly frowned.“Surprised?” Diane snorted. “I’m not just any finance director. I’m representing Charlotte Heller today, and I’m going to sit alongside the board of directors.”“Oh, then I should go early so that I won’t be forced to sit next to you.”“Haha, you wouldn’t have to worry about it as

Diane got twelve recordings in total. And she was on her way back to the Creed Tech company.Diane’s skin looked much smoother, and she was shining like a barbie doll because her system had done it for her.So, her confidence has multiplied manyfold.Receiving so many gazes from both men and women was very satisfying to her.“Mm?” Diane noticed that a new store was being opened. It seemed like a jewelry store, but the items were all the ones that were found in the Dream Creed game. So, there was a huge crowd in front of the store. The one cutting the ribbon at the front was none other than Marlon Myers, the son of the Myers family. They were billionaires and were famous for their clothing brand. The moment Diane saw Marlon, her heart fluttered once.He was a handsome man who seemed to be around thirty years of age. He was tall and looked like he was the son of a mafia don or something.Diane slipped her way through the big crowd without any problem whatsoever. Her system had made it p

You’ve been chosen by the Sandpaper System!”She stopped and looked around. It didn’t seem like anybody called her.“Was it just my imagination?”She kept walking.“You sure are a nasty person, aren’t you?” the voice rang in her mind again. It sounded eerily familiar to her father’s voice.Diane stopped in her tracks and looked around.Again, there was nobody around her, so whose voice was she hearing?“You cried when your dad died, but on that same night, you secretly celebrated his death,” the voice rang out in her mind once more. “To think you would celebrate your own father’s death… I have rarely come across someone as diabolical as you are.”Diane’s heart started racing. She did buy some alcohol and drank to her heart’s content that very night Richard died. When Denver asked her why she drank, she cried and said that she drank out of sadness and due to the pain of losing her father.Denver easily bought her words.D

There are no store names written at the entrance, either. It is strange. How can people know which store is which?”“They just have to ask and find out,” the shopkeeper said. “Only a few buildings like the Creed Tech company or Eco Waves have names written on them. If we do a good job and earn great reviews from our customers, then we can put names on our stores, too. Until then, we can’
