After meeting with the Heydiko Project’s contractor, Griffti went to the cafe where he promised to meet Griffti. When he arrived at the cafe, he sat down and waited. Gaston ordered a glass of lemonade and drank it while waiting. “I am sure he will ask me more about my ability to see the future,” Gaston murmured before taking another sip. With those in mind, he prepared some things to say so that Griffti would be convinced that he’s telling the truth. Then, the logo of the mall caught Gaston’s attention. “H&Bert,” he read. ‘Why does it sound familiar to me?’ Gaston wondered. He was so certain that this is the first time he visited this mall. But oddly, the name of the man sounds so familiar to him. ‘I think I heard this mall’s name a long time ago.’ He dug into his memories. With much effort, Gaston recalled an event. After Chairman Harold offered Gaston to manage the Hamington for a while, Gaston declined the offer. As a result, the Chairman’s son, Sonny, became the temporar
Krrrks. Another small cement crack fell down in the center of the four. Griffti and the two guards looked at the man who gave them the warning. They really thought he’s only losing a few screws on his head. “I told you! Get everyone out of here!” Gaston shouted. Seeing the catastrophe that was bound to happen, the guards knew they had to inform the mall’s management as soon as possible. They don’t have the time to idle and wonder how a man guessed what is about to happen. Hundreds of lives are at stake! One guard informed the management and the other ran to call the other crew. Griffti stood blankly at the situation. ‘This is impossible.’ He couldn’t believe that Gaston’s guess might come true. No matter how knowledgeable someone is in building infrastructure, it is impossible to guess beforehand that the building will collapse. Unless you know it in advance. [“Everyone in the mall. This is an emergency. All people, including the employees and staff should leave the plac
Gaston felt the pain all over his body, especially his foot. Groaning, he forced his eyes open only to see nothing but pitch of darkness. “Ugh! Ugh!” he coughed after inhaling the dusty air. He turned around, adjusting in the dark. He tried to move but his foot ached so he stayed on his seat. Groping around he touched the cold rock and cement. Behind him, there was a metallic smooth object. Amidst the dark, Gaston focused on finding the man whom he last saw before losing his consciousness. “Griffti! Are you there?!” His voice only echoed. No one answered his call. He opened his mouth again and shouted, “Hey! Griffti! Grif.. Ugh!” The dust went inside his mouth and his throat felt so dry and itchy. Still, he desperately call for the Chairman’s grandson even though he felt like blood would come out from his mouth. “Griffti!” “Damn. You are so noisy.” Gaston ceased when he finally heard someone reply to him. He sighed in relief. “You’re alive?!” Gaston asked. “No. I am a gho
“The prosecution demanded us to cooperate with the investigation. I am afraid to say that we need to halt the Heydiko project, Sir Hopkins.” John Hopkins, the owner of the Hopkins corporation, looked at his secretary. There was a perturbed expression on his face as he listened to the bad news. Not long ago, the J&F company on which the Heydiko Project signed with, was involved in a drug scandal with Senator Frederiko. The senator stands at the opposing party of the President, which made it hard for him to clear his name because the President’s side were determined to reveal his corruption and illegal activities. Of course the Hopkins construction company is innocent. But because they signed a contract with the J&F company, the prosecution wanted to investigate them. John sighed. He could not believe that signing with J&F would cost them a lot. Many will lose their current jobs and Hopkins has to pay for the loss since they need to extend the contracts to other partnered companies.
At the airport the tiles under foot gleamed white and everywhere, people milled around. Several men in black with earpieces on their ears, were seen moving up to the second floor, riding the glass elevator which leads to the upper floor where only VIP’s are allowed. They were on their way to guard and welcome the first grandson of the Chairman. After many years, the grandson of the billionaire will come back home, and therefore, Harold wanted to welcome him in the most extravagant way. From the earpieces on their ears, the guard heard that the plane from New York had landed. They formed in line, not taking their eyes off the automatic glass door. Soon, it opened. Gaston and Griffti exited the glass door together. As they stepped out, loud voices echoed in the space. “Welcome back!” the men in black enthusiastically greeted the three with bows. The two men who are really important in Harold’s life, looked at the men before them. Griftti looked around the airport and breathed the
On the way back to the mansion, Gaston and Griffti rode in a long black limousine. It is a large luxurious chauffeur-driven sedan that has a glass partition separating the driver’s seat from the passenger compartment. They can enjoy the luxury inside the large car but the two of them were all quiet all throughout the ride. Sitting inside the limo, Griffti sat on the left, while Gaston was on the right. They are both tired from the journey. Soon. The limo stopped and the door opened. Griffti opened his eyes. Gaston sat straight. They hopped out of the car and walked inside the mansion. Maids, who were excited to see Griffti , lined up and bowed their heads as the walk inside. No one among the servants cared about Gaston, who they considered as the little dog in the house. And so when the two men entered, all girls only took a peek to the handsome guy with Greek God like features. Griffti’s gray eyes are sharp and cold, as if he’s a prince from the Northern region. He has a majesti
Sonny and Victoria were aware that their relationship with the kid aren’t in good shape. They are like ice and fire, oil and water, or cola and mint candy. But if Griffti will show hatred towards his own grandpa, that is another case. However, the old man clearly understood why Griffti behaved like this. Still, he had hoped before that Griffti decided to come back because his health improved and that he’s confident to face them. But it seems it was not the case. Stunned, Gaston looked at Gaston’s trembling hands behind his back. He thought before that Griffti only acts like this whenever he sees something he hates. But it is impossible that Griffti despises his own grandpa. Unfortunately, Divine also noticed her cousin’s trembling hands. She thinks it’s weird for Griffti to act like this in front of their loving grandpa. Griffti looked down and gulped. When his lips opened, a murmur slipped from his mouth. “Grandpa. Can I use the comfort room?” Even before hearing Harold’s answe
The reason why the first Grandson could not go home is because he despises the Solice family a lot. However, after seeing his reaction, Gaston knew that this is not just a simple loath. ‘It seems he’s suffering against his own will,’ Gaston thought before he looked at the man sitting beside him on the same bench. When Griffti calmed down, the two of them went to the mansion’s back garden and stayed under the shade for a long time. This is the place where Gaston always visited when he was a kid. He suffered a lot of physical and verbal abuse from the Solice family without Harold knowing. When he was having a hard time, Gaston would come to this place. He secretly cried while telling himself that everything will be fine. ‘I don’t know why I brought him here. But he really looks like he was about to faint,’ Gaston said in his head. Gaston glanced again at the man who’s staring at the air between space. “I have a disease.” Suddenly, Griffti spoke in a stern manner. Gaston straighten
