2022-09-03 11:26:01Damien drove them to the hospital. The nurses and doctors in the hospital were all in panic.
Lily was severely injured. They took her to a room to examine her but they found out that irrespective of her severe injury she wasn't bleeding, which was unusual.
The doctor came out to speak to Damien concerning that.
"Mr Steel, we have carried out a comprehensive inspection of the lady, and her situation …. is unusual,"
Damien locked eyes with Alexia, who gave him a knowing smile. Damien just looked confused.
"What I'm trying to say is, her condition is stable , there are no bleeds or serious injuries. It just needs some stitches and she's good," The doctor told Damien.
"Thank you doctor," Damien thanked the doctor, feeling relieved that at least Lily won't die. He gave Alexia a tight smile.
The other nurses wheeled Lily to the emergency Ward to stitch her injuries.
"Did any help you before coming here?" The doctor suddenly asked Damien.
They were all standing in front of the emergency warcs. Damien was standing with both of his arms folded and the doctor help some files on his hands facing Damien. Alexia was just going through her phone.
Hearing the doctor's question, made Damien look at Alexia. He got it now. Alexia had stopped the bleeding and stabled her while in the car.
"Um, just a kind old man who decided to help us make her stable, he said she won't make it to the hospital if we don't stop the bleeding," Damien lied to the doctor.
Alexia have him a knowing look, she was trying to hold her laughter as she saw Damien explaining to the doctor.

Damien and Alexia rushed to the ward Lily was in.
But suddenly several men in Black surrounded them. They were armed with war sticks and irons.
Damien was indifferent, Alexia stared at the men blankly. When Doctor Faren saw the men she ran away into one of the wards.
The leader of the black men spoke.
"We are here to take you Mr steel, follow us calmly to avoid violence,"
"What made you think we would listen to you?" Alexia asked the man.
"You can't disobey who sent us,"
"As you know, my wife is here. I can't leave with you and leave her behind," Damien said calmly.

Damien's heart skipped. Lily! No. He can't let them hurt her again.
"What do you want from us, why can't you leave us alone," Damien growled. ,"First you caused the accident that happened, secondly you tried to stop us so we won't get to the hospital on time and now you are here again telling me to follow, why can you let us be?!" Damien growled.
The hospital passage they were standing in was pin drop silence.
No one dared to speak. The men shrinked back in fear. Damien's growl really scared them. Damien could be scary and intimidating whenever he wants.
"That's not in our place to answer, follow us and you get the answers you want," The leader replied.
Damien considered it. In as much as he wanted to get answers, he can't put Lily's safety at stake.
He felt an hand on his arm. That's right, Alexia! She smiled warmly at him , reassuring him that she would take care of Lily.
Looking at the situation now, their chances of winning are very small. They were outnumbered. Damien and Alexia against thirty mafia martial artists? A big No.

They laughed. It felt odd. In the midst of all the turbulence, he could still laugh genuinely.

"Good!" With that, she turned around and went to take care of Lily.

The person who sent them must not know his current state of health.

He was thrown into a dirty and smelly jail. No window or any form of ventilation. Just an iron cage. It looked a cage used to capture and game wild animal.

Kairus gave him a punch on his face, cracking his nose. Blood spilled out from his nose.
He gave him blow after blow after blow. Damien was coughing out blood now, he was sure his face would be filled with bruises by now.
"Your family was useless, so are you," Mr Cowell started. "Aye! despite the fact there was no treasure your family held in possession, it was good they were killed, right ?"
Mr Cowell asked Damien.

As he said that, Mr Cowell used his boots to crush Damien's face.
Damien smiled in pain, if this was what he would pay for not protecting his family.
"Mayor was right, you are a psycho,"
Mr Cowell waved his hand forward indicating that they should come forward to do their job.
"I'll kill you, I'll make you suffer for everything you are doing to me" Damien threatened them.
Mr Cowell laughed loudly.
"What can a weakling do, you are as weak as your family. Vulnerable." He spat at him.
Damien lost it! He hated being called weak. It irked him.
"How would a weak man beat up all your men?"
"Oh about that, you wanna try ?" Mr Cowell asked him.
Damien could beat a thousand men, but he is tied. He wanted to show him that he is not a weakling and also put his men in pain.
Mr Cowell smirked.
"Don't harm yourself anymore boy, you could go and meet your family early if you keep up with this attitude,"
Damien laughed.
