Chapter- 37 Guilt

Damien sat inside the car quietly watching each passing building as Mr. Smith drove. Damien's thoughts ran to the poor woman that cling unto her lifeless daughter. He shuts his eyes as the tragedy flash before him again, pulls out his phone and texts Felixia up to meet him at the living room for a meeting tomorrow morning.

He puts his phone back into his pocket, and stares out the window once again, waiting patiently for the car to turn and stop in front of their home.

The ride back to the mansion was a silent affair. Damien couldn't help but feel bad for the woman that lost her own flesh and blood who was at such a young age.

It wasn't his fault, but the guilt still remained in his stomach. They had no way to get justice, but they could do nothing more but wait for the authorities to find out exactly what happened to her. Wait until he could do something about it.
