Chapter 2: A Platinum Customer

Glenn laughed at his self-confidence and stepped into the elevator with both hands tucked into his trouser pockets.

"What are you laughing at?" Narendra said angrily.

Glenn stopped laughing for a moment and said casually before the elevator closed, "You're dreaming too much, Narendra."

"Dreaming?"

Glenn smiled condescendingly.

"Yes. Remember, you are only my father's niece. It would be impossible for my father to pass this company on to you," Glenn said flatly.

As soon as the elevator door closed, Narendra went berserk. He kicked a large trash can. He didn't care about the employees who looked at him questioningly

"We'll see. Watch out, Glenn!" the man said.

Meanwhile, Glenn, who had just arrived at his Gardenia Hills apartment unit, was extremely surprised when he saw Fero, his personal assistant standing at the door of the apartment with several large suitcases nearby.

"What are you doing in front of here? Why are you taking my suitcases outside?" Glenn asked in astonishment.

Fero replied haltingly, "You are not allowed to stay inside anymore, Young Master."

"W-what do you mean?" Glenn glared in surprise.

Fero scratched the back of his head. "That's Young Master ... someone bought this apartment building, Master."

Glenn exhaled roughly. Instantly he understood, "My father. Uh, of course only he can do all this."

Glenn then said, "Go back to my father's house. I will get people to help you."

Fero was a little taken aback. "Then what about you, Sir?"

Glenn replied, "You think I'm a child who gets confused when his parents play him, Fer?"

"No, it's not like that, Young Master."

"You don't need to think about that."

"But you'll be home later, Sir?”

Glenn nodded, “Of course. But before I go home, I have to surprise my father first."

Suddenly Fero felt an uneasy feeling, especially when he saw his young master's crooked smile.

After Fero left, Glenn drove his car to a car showroom. His arrival immediately caused a commotion.

"Hey, that's Glenn Brawijaya right? What is he doing here?" one of the young women whispered.

Because her friend shook her head, she turned to a salesperson, "What is Glenn Brawijaya doing here? Does Brawijaya Corporation have shares in this showroom?"

"Oh, no Miss. Young Master Glenn is a regular customer of this showroom. He is one of our platinum customers," the saleswoman said.

The young woman was interested, "Platinum customers?"

"Yes. Customers who buy cars in our showroom for 12 units per year," he replied.

"That's incredible, 12 cars per year, Angela. Crazy, he's really rich!” the girlfrend exclaimed.

Angela exclaimed, “He's definitely rich, Jen. Clear. Brawijaya Corporation is indeed very big. Its branches and subsidiaries are everywhere."

"But if he's that rich, why does he go to the car showroom alone? Why doesn't he just ask his men?"

"Young Master Glenn had said that the car was very important to him. He is indeed very thorough, Miss and also has very good taste. It's not surprising that he always comes directly to this show room," explained the salesperson.

Angela nodded.

"Give me the latest series from this MCB!" Glenn said.

"Would you like to try it first?" the employee asked, looked familiar with Glenn.

Glenn shook his head, "No. I'm in a hurry. I'll just choose the color."

"Fine, Sir."

In less than thirty minutes, Glenn was already bringing the new car out. A chuckle of admiration could be heard so clearly as he drove his new car at a slow speed.

"Dad, I'm go home," he muttered as he entered the gate of the Brawijaya family's house.

The house was guarded by dozens of bodyguards in black uniforms who were now also looking at their young master with mixed eyes.

Fero trotted over to his young master as soon as he saw Glenn get off the car.

"Young master."

Glenn nodded and winked at his personal assistant.

Fero swallowed his saliva with difficulty, "You bought a new car again, Young Master?"

"As you can see, this is MCB's newest series. It just came out two days ago."

Fero gaped "Didn't you buy a new car one week ago, Young Master?"

"Yes. Then why?"

"You're only allowed to buy a car once a month. Your father ... Mr. Andi ...."

Glenn smiled crookedly, "No problem, Fer. Anyway, 12 billion is nothing for my father."

Fero widened in surprise, "S-Sir. Last week you just spent 4 billion on the Porsas series."

Glenn smiled broadly, "That's my favorite series."

"And what about this, Sir?"

"This is my next favorite. You see this? This is very unique." Glenn touched the car body so proudly.

"Yes, I agree Young Master. But ... but ...."

Glenn suddenly looked up irritated, Fero suddenly closed his mouth again. Seeing that Fero was silent, Glenn threw his car key at one of the bodyguards, "Park right in front of the main door."

Fero glared in surprise. Ah, he understood now. His young master must just be trying to get back at his father in that way.

***

Andi Brawijaya just smashed his expensive cell phone after getting info from his personal secretary that his son had just bought another new car.

He made the diners turn to look at him in shock.

"12 Billion," he muttered under his breath.

"GLENN!" he shouted, his voice suddenly rising an octave.

"That insolent child."

His breathing started to become irregular again.

"What should I do with that rascal?" he shouted getting frustrated.

Edgar, who was standing right behind his master, could only be silent like a statue. There was a pause before he said very heavily, "Edgar, call my secretary. Cancel the meeting for this afternoon. We're going home now."

"B-but Master-"

"You didn't hear me did you?" Andi said sharply.

Edgar immediately looked down, "Yes, Sir. I heard it. But this meeting has already been postponed, Sir. It would really-"

"You want to teach me, Ed?"

"N-no, Sir. Fine. I'll do it," Edgar said quickly, not wanting to become the target of his master's anger. Andi didn't comment and just left the place.

Edgar took a deep breath, "They're the same. Nobody wants to give in."

"Why did you just come home, Glenn?" Amelia Brawijaya asked while sitting and reading a magazine in the living room.

Glenn replied, "Why do I have to hurry home?"

"Don't you want to meet your mother?"

"We've met now. What do you want, Mom?"

Amelia sighed, "How long are you going to continue to act like this?"

Glenn, who had just sat down, immediately stood up, "If you want to meet me just to lecture me, I better go to my room."

Amelia put the magazine on the table, "Glenn, you're 25 years old. Soon the company will pass into your hands. If you continue to go easy on yourself, how are you going to run our company?"

Glenn retorted, "Why can't I just go easy on myself while you two can?"
