Chapter 162: Black Eyes

Robert sat on the hospital bed, just beside his grandfather, waiting. He didn't exactly know who he was waiting for but he knew this person was seemingly very important. The doctor had come in earlier, and had declared that Jude was ready to be discharged. Robert felt relieved about that particular information and so was everyone else. Raymond, Martha and Juliet.

Juliet sat in the couch, right opposite the bed, trying hard to stop herself from dozing off. But in the war against this sleepiness, she was losing badly. Robert noticed almost immediately and went to meet her.

"Babe." He said softly and placed a light kiss on her cheek. She turned to face him, with the sleepiest eyes ever. "You should go home now. You need to get some rest."

"No. No, babe." She shook her head at once and sat upright. "I'll stay here. I'm not sleepy, I promise." She wiped her eyes, hoping that the sleepiness would wear off.

"What do you mean you're not sleepy? I saw you, babe. Come on, I'll take you home."
