Chapter 61: Rollercoaster Rides

"It's fine, babe. It's okay. I'm no longer mad at you and I still really love you." Michael said as he continued stroking her silky hair. She was sobbing softly, although there were no tears running down her face. Her demeanor was that of a helpless kitten with her face buried in his broad chest, absorbing the comfort and security they provided. She sighed in relief, an almost sneaky smile on her satisfied face.

"You aren't leaving now, are you?" He asked calmly, his arm around her and his other hand still in her hair. He looked down at her, trying to peer at her face, but she still had it buried in him. "You know what? I missed you so much even when I was angry. And I'm glad you are actually here in my arms, like I had wanted." He smiled satisfactorily, his eyes squinting as his teeth shone through his maniacally smiling lips.
