Chapter 91: If It Isn't Erick

Erick thought about what to say for a moment as he examined her pretty, yet tired face. A blank expression was now over her face as she pondered on what reaction she should put out to him. She had asked him not to come, but here he was, smiling at her under the golden evening sun.

"Ummm..." He stuttered as he tried to speak. "I figured that you would be tired after everything that had happened today, so I decided to come pick you up. You know, you lessen the stress of waiting for a bus."

"Oh, I see. And how am I supposed to take this?" She asked in a lightly annoyed tone.

"I do not know what you say." He paused, looking down at the tarred ground to escape his eyes for a moment. "I guess it's up to you."
