Chapter 39: Way Forward

Hearing this, Vice-Chancellor Harrington could not believe his ears, as if reality had momentarily shifted. “You know what? On the contrary, that might not be needed,” he said on the phone and hung up as he began to stare at the blue binder document on the table.

"C'mon, V.C., I know you can’t just believe anyone who walked in here and called himself the new majority shareholder. Will you not check the document and see for yourself?” Actor Adrian smirked again.

As Vice-Chancellor Harrington heard this, as if he were in a picking competition, he hurriedly picked up the binder document from the table while the rest of the board members looked at him, obviously in haste for the words that the vice chancellor would say afterward.

“Is it true?” one of them asked, suddenly impatient for the words Vice-Chancellor Harrington would say.

Still, even after two minutes of cross-checking the blue binder, he had not said a word. All he did was look at actor Adrian's face with a shocked expression;
