As both of them rushed into the sitting room and pressed the TV button with such force, it sounded like thunder echoing through the room. Ex-Ranger Jackson made his way to his car parked on the street.

Standing on the floorboard and peering through the front window was what he perceived to be delicate, akin to a delicate butterfly delicately perched on a flower petal.

“I’d be caught doing that,” he muttered to himself suddenly. And with this thought, as he reached his car, he opened the driver's seat door and slid in.

This didn't mean the end of his surveillance of his target. As he pointed the pen voice enhancer towards the house and listened for any voices that would penetrate through it, he heard the sounds of the television via the voice enhancer.

Nevertheless, it wasn't the only thing he did. At that instant, he retrieved his phone from the depths of his pocket and turned it on in its dim state.

"I should see what they see, not only hear what they hear," he said to himself.

Additionally, because the guy has a history of bullying him since their freshman year at the university,”“You know what, Mr. Mark, let’s shed some light on this particular guy named Julius. Tell us about the name of the guy his girlfriend left him for, as narrated by you.”“Yes, ma’am. You see, this guy is one of, if not the richest, in the university. Every girl wanted him, and he knows this fact. He could easily have anything he wanted because, you know, he is rich.”“Hmm, Mr. Mark, you have already established the fact that this guy is rich, and we believe you, so tell us more than just the fact that he is rich.”“Okay, ma’am. His father used to be the majority shareholder of the university. It could also be said that his father used to own the school before the school had a board and a new majority shareholder.”“Hold on, Mr

Seeing how his screen loaded like a ball rolled into a pitch, ex-Ranger Jackson scrolled his finger to the top and saw a box at the bottom of his screen. Right on the right side of the box, he saw the icon of a letter folded into an aircraft. He understood the meaning of this icon, and right there, he scrolled up again. With this, he saw different comments popping out of the bottom of the screen, like bubbles popping out at the face of boiling water.“Let's see what we have here,” he muttered to himself. Right there, he began to read different comments from people who had seen the live interview.“I do not think Mark understands the rule that guides a fraudster or a drug dealer. Yes, these sets of people have money, but they are afraid of showing off their money because they know if they do that, it's only a matter of time before they are caught.”“I honestly did not think Mark knew anything he was saying, but let the police do their job. I guess we will find out soon.”“Well, Sophia,

As they watched the video on Emily's phone, they both came together and burst into another episode of laughter, as if they were watching a comedy movie. They shared the happiness together, filming each moment as proof of their shared joy.For ex-Ranger Jackson, everything they did, if it wasn't captured on camera, might as well have been a lie. He remained patient, like a loyal dog awaiting instructions from its master.Still staring at them, he heard and saw how they both gestured and said to each other, “We should start the pace now and let everyone see where this poor-for-nothing guy lives.”Immediately after Emily said this, Ex-Ranger Jackson noticed how she stared into her phone with intense focus, resembling a student taking a final exam. After a couple of seconds, she raised the phone slightly above her head, like a child wanting to take a complete picture with a selfie stick to show herself and Jessica in the background.Seeing this, ex-Ranger Jackson didn't bat an eye before g

After spending only ten minutes at Julius' abandoned apartment, Ex-Ranger Jackson saw how they had closed the space for the time being. He noticed Jessica and Emily growing tired of waiting for Julius.“Maybe he's not coming?” Jessica said.“I think we better head back and find another time to film him,” Emily admitted, expressing her fatigue. Ex-Ranger Jackson observed them both beginning to walk back in the direction they came from.Checking the time at this moment, “11:45 PM?” he exclaimed in shock at how late it was. “Back in college, I was never out at this time. Mama never allowed me to stay out this late,” he mused to himself, although the truth was that he kept his eyes on them the whole time.Through the rearview mirror, he watched as they flagged down a taxi and headed back home. Not having been seen or suspected, ex-Ranger Jackson turned his car around slowly and followed them like a shadow in the night. After following them for several minutes, he saw Jessica being the f

Having recorded everything that ensued in the room like a camera man filming a whole movie, from kisses to yanking off their clothes and finally having sex, Ex-Ranger Jackson's burner phone suddenly began to ring. However, it rang so silently, like a ghost whisper, that it barely made a sound.Walking silently away from the window and the garden until he was back in his car, he picked up the call.“How is it going?” Ex-Ranger Jackson heard Julius’ voice, full of authority and resonance, like a command from a seasoned general.“I am still on it, sir. Not interfering as instructed, but keeping everything on record.”“Great! Any unexpected scenarios?”“The friends betrayed each other, sir. She is sleeping with the other boyfriend.”“And?” Julius inquired.“They went to your abandoned apartment, sir, and filmed it. It's been sent to space.”“I know about that. The next morning dawned with a bright new sky, and perhaps the brightness of it was the reason Jessica's cheeks expanded into a wide smile. Ex-Ranger Jackson, sitting in his car, saw Mark arrive at Jessica's door and knock on it gently, like a gentle breeze tapping on the window of a cozy cottage.Mark was not alone. In his hands, he held a bouquet of roses, and he was dressed differently from the night before. This morning, he wore a suit that was not well-fitted, with his white shirt collar flying over the suit. His pants were loose, giving him the appearance of an old-fashioned fashionista seen boldly on an old magazine cover.Seeing this, ex-Ranger Jackson smirked and waited in his car, poised like a patient spider in its web, anticipating his next catch. He had been in the car for about six hours since he watched Jessica fall asleep the night before while she waited for Mark to call her back, which he did not do throughout the night. Yet he appeared the next morning with a bouque

Having finally gotten dressed, ex-Ranger Jackson heard Jessica ask sadly, “Do you hate me, Mark?”Feeling Mark's surprised expression in response to Jessica's question, Ex-Ranger Jackson heard him say, “No, babe. How can I hate you? I love you.”“Then why are you keeping your distance from kissing me?”“I wasn’t!” Mark insisted.“Yes, you did,” Jessica said again. At this moment, Ex-Ranger Jackson felt how silence prevailed for about five seconds, during which the only sounds he heard were the sounds of their heavy breathing. If all that had happened was a lie, ex-Ranger Jackson felt how Jessica slowly began to lean her neck forward and how Mark continued to stare at her. Slowly, as her head kept moving towards him, Ex-Ranger Jackson pictured how Mark would have closed his eyes and received the tender kiss that was coming to him. However, suddenly,“I don’t think I can do this right now.”“We should see a doctor as soon as we are done with the eat-out,” ex-Ranger Jackson heard as Mark

Entering the eatery, ex-Ranger Jackson observed that the interior boasted lavish decor, with intricately designed chandeliers casting a warm glow over the marble floors below. Plush velvet curtains adorned the windows, framing views of the bustling city outside. Similarly, mahogany tables were meticulously set with fine china and sparkling silverware, while elegant artwork adorned the walls. He noticed the waitstaff moving gracefully between tables, clad in crisp uniforms. At the far end of the interior, ex-Ranger Jackson spotted Mark seated with Jessica, along with Emily, Alexander, and Olivia. Mark sat in the middle of Emily and Jessica, with Olivia and Alexander on the other side of Emily. Jessica held hands with Mark, and they smiled buoyantly, as did Olivia and Alexander, leaving only Emily to place both of her hands on the table.“Nice arrangement,” ex-Ranger Jackson muttered to himself as he walked to the far end of the interior, distancing himself from Mark and the others.Aft

---Emily, at this instance, took a deep breath, her eyes hardening as she looked at Mr. Thornton, and continued talking. “I worked for Mr. Thornton for two years. When we confronted him, he would dismiss our concerns, make excuses, and even threaten us with termination if we kept asking.”Her voice grew more intense. “But it wasn’t just the financial exploitation. Mr. Thornton created a hostile work environment through his constant verbal abuse. He would belittle us, call us names, and make us feel worthless.
