102. A Break.

Lauren was patiently awaiting the arrival of her brother and not more than thirty minutes later, he walked in. "I called, why didn't you answer?" She questioned as he shut the door.

"I'm sorry sis, I did not even realize that I was low on battery. I forgot to charge it before leaving home and I didn't take my charger or my power bank with me."

"Okay. Well, how was the place you went?"

Marcus didn't want to tell his sister that he failed to get the contract he had hoped for. He hated to admit it but, without Jason around, his business had not being doing too well. "It was fine. Phil called me and he said his flight was delayed so he won't be able to get here today. But he will get here tomorrow evening. Is that okay?"

"Sure, I guess. The important thing is that he does get here. Marcus, I can't thank you enough for your help on this issue."

"You don't have to thank me, after all she is my mother too, and I can't just ignore her to rot in jail."
