134. A Call for Help

The next day, Ryan had prepared various sets of breakfasts to enjoy with Violet. He purposefully made meals with nice smells and kept them in the small living room.

Jared was there, grumbling silently as his stomach growled like a hungry monster. However, he eyed the delicious breakfast Ryan made with the piercing eyes of a hunter. In this case, he had to close his mouth to stop salivating over the smell and look of it.

“The kitchen’s free if you want to make your noodles,” Ryan smirked at him, bringing along the orange juices and a bowl of salad. “Or warm your canned soup, perhaps? Good thing I stored some in here, right? Either way, you have to pick fruits from the woods or die of starvation.”

Scowling heavily, Jared rose to his feet and slammed the door. He went out and disappeared to the woods behind the small cottage, probably searching for some fruits like he suggested.

Finally, alone with Violet, he smiled to himself.<
