Ryan tapped his fingers on the clothed dining table. The glass of water in front of him reflected his sullen face, a contrast against the happy and calm atmosphere in the restaurant.
“Do you want to order now, sir?” a server holding a menu book in her hand asked for the third time since he came here. He could see the annoyance hidden under her carefully displayed smile.
Shaking his head, Ryan truthfully said, “I’m waiting for someone. But I’d be happy if you could get me a paper and a pen. Please?”
The server went back inside and returned with his desired items. Ryan thanked her.
The server nodded and repeated the exact words from before. “I will be right over there when you want to order, sir. Please excuse me.”
With all of those polite words, Ryan wanted nothing more than to stay oblivious. Blissful ignorance, if only he could retain that.
However, his life now forced him to read under the li
“If you have anything to do with Rayven’s refusal,” Howard Ashford said, “Then I’d be really disappointed in you, Edric.”“I don’t.”Ryan knew when Edric was lying. But, Howard didn’t.“Then, I believe–“Smack!Someone slapped Howard Ashford’s face. Shocking him, shocking both Ryan and Edric.“Who the hell–“ Edric said the moment he broke out of his shocked trance, “You bitch! How dare you hit my father?!”Brown, wide eyes turned to the newcomer. A beautiful blonde girl stood rigidly, both fists balled by her side. Her fair skin flushed, bringing a red colour to her face at how angry she was.“Howard Ashford!”Ryan gulped, staring in horror as the event unfolded. “Violet…”She didn’t even glance at him. Her furious blue eyes were locked on the oldest in the private
“You useless scum!”Ryan had heard that word in repeat for the last three hours. Clearly, he underestimated Violet’s ability to set up any emotions for hours. Who was he kidding? She was a professional actress who starred in numerous series and movies, of course getting angry at him for a few hours was easy. Ah, if only he wasn’t that dumb to begin with. “Sorry, but I can’t just accept that from him. You may get angry at me now, but I will make it up to you, Violet. I promise.” The blonde beauty lashed out again, “You think you can make up for what your father did to me?! Handing all of his companies will never be enough compensation for what he did to me. Don’t make me laugh, but you’re nothing, Ryan. Not even after all of this sudden wealth and suspicious change in you.”“Then, if I can have as much as what my father has and give it all to you, will it be enough compensation for what he did to you?”Violet’s blue eyes lit up in fury. “Are you seriously asking me that?”“Yes.”“T
Thud!“Ugh!”“How many times do I have to tell you not to play with that girl, Rayven?”Bhugh!“Argh!”“She’s no good for you.”Smack!“Hick!”“And you’re never going to deserve her either.”Slap!“Hicc!”“Look at what you’ve done, Rayven.”Rayven Ashford – the name he used to have, before he chose to disappear and live a different life as Ryan Wilder. But here, Rayven blearyly opened his brown eyes, squinting at the taller figure hovering above him.A middle-aged man looked down at him, disappointment and anger apparent on his face. He was holding both hands, covered by black leather gloves. A strange accessory on his crisp, grey, three-piece suit.He was Howard Ashford, the man he should call ‘father’ but didn’t act like one. At least, he did
Violet started, unexpectedly. “I don’t remember everything. But I remember that I saw your father’s murderous look before the accident.”“My father’s…”“And you, in particular.”Ryan was silent for a moment. The words stuck in his throat, and he pushed it out of his mouth. “I’m sorry, Violet.”She was angry, oh how obvious. Because, why wouldn’t she?“What are you sorry for, scum?”“I’m sorry. I know my father did it because he didn’t like me playing with you. It’s all my fault.”“Yes, and the least you can do is to accept all of that inheritance your father have for you. It’s only right. He should pay for it.”“But…”“So, you’re saying your ego is bigger than what he owes to me? Is that it?”“No, I don’t mean it like that,
A bottle of well-aged whiskey. Three girls in skimpy outfits. And two men sitting opposite of each other in a private booth, looking down on dancing people from the second floor. One of them looked far too serious, unlike the people who frequented the nightclub. In fact, he was still clutching on his skecher bag, awkward and totally uncomfortable. If it wasn’t for his scoop, then he wouldn’t torture himself like this. Ashton Bogart was oblivious to his lack of comfort. He was too busy gorging down his drinks and mercilessly teasing the girls he just met. “Why don’t you loosen up a little, Winney? Join me for a drink and get close to these girls.” “No, thank you, Mr. Bogart.” If he could, he’d rather meet the scandalous actor in a different place, a more formal setting, at least. It had been two years since he became a contracted journalist for an entertainment tabloid, but he couldn’t get used to this kind of deal. “Oh, come on. You looks like you haven’t lost your virginity yet
"I don't hate marriage. Gosh, I won't be born if my father and mother doesn't marry. But," she said, "I think marriage is just a glorified and sacred shackle that prevents me from achieving everything I ever wants. So, if you ask me if I'll ever be married, I'll say no."The host then asks what she will do when she finds the right man in the future."Well, if that ever happen, I'll spend the rest of my life with him. But, I doubt it's going to happen soon. My perfect man doesn't exist.""Or you both haven't met yet?"Crowne laughed and gave no more response on the matter.___Violet threw her phone away. How could she read that garbage and say nothing?Someone was behind this, and she'd get them to pay for it. The most likely suspect was Ryan. With his current boldness, he must think that it was okay. But no.It wasn't okay to just reveal to the media that she was already married. To th
We Were Wrong About Violet Crowne's Secret MarriageWritten by Josh WinneyThe actress Violet Crowne and her manager Ryan Wilder are allegedly married, and more unbelievably still, it appears we were misinformed about it.We reported yesterday that Crowne and Wilder officially tied the knot less than three months after an anonymous source published news on the couple's supposedly secret marriage. This, by Star-Hive! standards is a big screw-up. Recently, we insisted on the accuracy of sources who reportedly said the Crowne-Wilder marriage reports were premature, and the couple had not been asked for this yet. Hence, we want to say that we deeply apologize for this.News reports are always corrected, certainly in the world of anonymously sourced celebrity gossip. Missing Violet Crowne's marriage is still a surprising look for Star-Hive! Entertainment news. However, seeing as the first source of this shocking gossip came from Cro
In a large bedroom with beautiful people’s posters on the wall, three of the four Crownes currently residing in the US were discussing their situation. As the most enthusiastic among them, Florent wasted no time to address this. “Mom, don’t you see that this is our chance?”Marissa, who was not as enthusiastic, crossed her arms in front of her chest. “What chance? I don’t want you to drag us to more troubles, you know? Violet’s marriage reveal is giving me great headache as it is.”“Yes, don’t give your mother any more stress, Florent. God knows we don’t need it.” Robert confirmed, but it felt a little insulting, actually.“What, you want to say that I’m not needed? Is that it?”Of course, Florent’s mother must have a misunderstanding at this moment. He had never seen his parents fight each other before, as he only remembered them to share the same natur
