As Caleb rode in the taxi to the college, he stared out of the window, his mind swirling with thoughts. The events of the day had left him feeling bewildered and disheartened.

The accusation from Emily, believing he was aome sort of gigolo, and the looming possibility of Amanda spreading rumors had cast a shadow over him. He couldn't help but wonder how his life had taken such a sudden turn.

On one hand, Emily's sudden mistrust had shaken him to the core. How could she so easily believe such baseless accusations? On the other hand, he dreaded the thought of facing Sophia.
