Caleb, after drying both his body and hair, skillfully wrapped the towel around his waist. With the washroom door unlocked, he strolled confidently to his closet.

Amid the array of freshly acquired clothes, he zeroed in on a pair of dark blue denim jeans and a polo t-shirt, his choice for the party.

As he tried on the outfit, he couldn't deny he looked pretty good in the mirror.

He sighed while assessing his reflection. The idea of attending a party with those rich, entitled folks who had always made him feel inferior bothered him. It was like diving into a gathering with the very people who had a knack for making him uncomfortable, leaving his stomach in knots as he imagined the event.

Susan, wasn't like the other rich entitled pricks. She was a constant source of sweetness, who had gone out of her way to invite him personally, he couldn't bear to let her down, especially on her birthday. "
