Leaving the sales room and the very overbearing manager behind, Caleb hailed a taxi to go home.

As the taxi carried him, he reflected on the tiring day. A smile crept onto his face as he thought about Sophia.

Recalling the restroom incident where he was attacked from all corners by Kenneth, Tracy, and Amanda, he appreciated Sophia's stand. She was the only one trying to persuade Amanda to let things go, believing that the splashing water incident was just an accident.

Caleb wanted to get to know her better and hoped she could see the real him, not the image that her stepsister might have painted.

Upon arriving home, it was already quite late, and Caleb's body was worn out from the day's emotional events.

He felt a headache creeping in, signaling the toll the day had taken on him.

In the kitchen, he retrieved painkillers from the cabinet, his tired hands struggling with opening the bottle.

Frustration lingered in muttered curses, his fatigue more evident than he had realized.
