After having Sarah begin making the intermediate healing potion William stood to the side and watched without any reaction to any of her actions, all he was answer any questions she had regarding the potion recipe.

Unlike himself who finished preparing the ingredients and infusing the solvent in around 30 minutes, it took her over an hour, still for a person's first time it was very impressive.

After everything was ready she moved to the brewing table and began doing what she recalled seeing William do, although it seemed simple she quickly found it much harder than she originally thought.

Similar to how the preparation took longer, the brewing took over twice as long as well, and by the end of the process, there was a completed product.

Most people would fail dozens of times before making their first potion from scratch but she actually completed it the first time, watching William was also impressed by her. Factually speaking though, that finished product looked somewhat ques

Sitting behind an oak desk while looking at a book that described many essential alchemy ingredients a boy who looked like he had just reached adulthood had his feet up while aimlessly flipping pages and vaguely learning what was on the pages. In all manners of speaking the boy looked completely average, maybe even slightly below, in a world with many knights who had very bulky physics his twig frame made him unattractive to the female gaze while simultaneously appearing like a weakling to other men. Yes, he was a mage, a mage with an unsymmetrical face and soft facial features, his only saving grace was that he was an alchemist or at least almost an alchemist. While mindlessly passing the time, the boy named Rory suddenly had his attention drawn to a short girl who entered the registration section of the first floor, she was just under 5 feet tall and was not overly beautiful but was still cute to the extent of being hit on at work weekly. "Jean, you are almost 15 minutes late a

After leaving the registration office Sarah followed Jean as she was led down a hallway and up a flight of stairs, despite receiving many looks from passersby she stayed proud like the noble daughter she was. In truth, usually, a duke's daughter would be greeted by a brank chief or high-ranking individual upon arrival but he father had instructed her to join like an average person to avoid getting too involved in internal dealings with the guild. While the two continued to walk toward their destination Sarah was momentarily distracted as she someone with a very unusual outfit, although she only saw the person's back for a split second she could easily see a blonde woman slightly shorter than her wearing a black and gold leotard that seemed to dig into her crotch along with a pair of stockings and a witches hat.Seeing that, Sarah was somewhat dumbfounded, usually, mages wore reasonably conservative clothing with the riskiest things being skirts that end around the knees, in fact, sh

  • The Ridiculous Life of the Reborn Mage   An Alchemy Exam is Easy for Some

While Sarah was taking her apprentice alchemist exam William was lead to a small room by one of the employees and given tea and pastries. It has to be said that rich and powerful people are treated completely differently than normal people who have to stand around and wait, because of his affiliation with the Goldridge family he was treated like the owner's son. Realistically it was not a big deal and in someways he would rather sit out and listen to what other mages in the guild talked about. In truth he was still imcredibly ignorant to many things in this world, the current social situation and news about the world that is not important enough to be main stream. It took a little under two hours before a middle aged man with thick glasses and a very thin frame walked into the small room William was staying. "Hello Mr. William, my name is Anton and I will be administering your offical alchemist certifiction test, I have been informated that you have not taken an apprentice test b

When Sarah heard a commotion down the hallway, she was slightly distracted by it and briefly turned to see what was going on. At that moment, William and Anton walk around a corner and could be seen, walking behind them a handful of middle-aged and older people following them and making a scene. Judging from the badges on their clothing, all were officially certified alchemists. Numbering around 6 it was the highest number of certified alchemists Sarah had seen together since entering the guild earlier that day, clearly something abnormal was going on. When he arrived before Mary he gave Sarah a nod before presenting the woman with a wooden rack containing multiple vials of a mesmerizing purple liquid, the onlookers were all solely focused on the dark purple liquid that seemed to have a slightly metallic sheen. Sarah was no different as she had never seen a potion quite like this one in all her life, as the heiress of a duke's house she was the definition of pampered and had acce

After leaving the alchemy guild, William and Sarah returned to the carriage that had brought them originally. William had talked with him a few times and understood that he was Sarah's primary guard while living outside the country and was a very competent mage. Although he did not live in the villa with them, he would accompany them whenever they left for protection. As they got into the carriage, Sarah turned to William. "We should go to a nice restaurant to celebrate doing so well. Do you have anywhere you would like to go?" Hearing her question, William couldn't help but feel a little weird being treated like this but didn't overthink it. Seeing Sarah for the first time, she looked at her without any emotion. "Is he from your family? Well, I need him to spend the night getting me pregnant today; if he is promised to someone else, I can compensate your family for taking him." "May I ask who the person who wants to have a child with me is?" Turning to look at him, the woman revealed a small smile. This is a party hosted by Royalty?

The following day, William woke up with the sun high in the sky and let out a groggy yawn, the events of the night and morning before playing out in his mind. Thinking about his overflowing passion, he became slightly embarrassed before looking to the side to see Sarah still sleeping; she looked beautiful under the sheets and peaceful. William had not taken any other potions in this life, so the Enchanter's Ember essence he had taken the past few days had taken effect, and his mana sensitivity improved somewhat. He didn't want to disturb her, so he injected much mana into the Tome of Arcana. Feeling the frosty feeling of mana being siphoned out of him at a rapid rate, William was left marveling at the time. He was sure it was an item with many secrets. After that, William went and had lunch prepared by the staff. He liked the way the villa was set up. The staff only came to deliver meals and clean them up, waiting for the people living there to go out to enter and leave the house

A pinch of gold can tip the scale of fortune

As mana continued to swirl around the dining table, creating a stationary tornado of invisible might, William could feel the world around him changing from a charcoal sketch to a vibrant watercolor. Everything seemed more substantial, and the world became more lively. As his perception changed, his senses were bombarded with feelings of euphoria more intense than any sexual experience possible, the hair on his body brushing against his clothing sending shocks through his body as he was lost in a sea of unprecedented pleasure. After nearly 10 minutes, the vortex of mana finally abated as he adjusted to the changes in perception. As he opened his eyes, he could see the dining room mostly intact, with small objects near him pushed away and the dining table pushed a few inches. Around 6 feet away from him, Sarah stood there staring at him, waiting for the phenomenon to end. When he spotted her, he fully realized the extent to which his vision had changed. His eyesight didn't get bet

    Everyone has their own Motivation

William stood up the following day, gazing out the large window of the master bedroom, and let out a turbid breath. Looking back at the bed, he saw Sarah sleeping blissfully and a couple of empty potion flasks on the bedside table. Do many young men not dream of such a sight? When boys begin the path to power, many boys have a ridiculous goal of having many beautiful lovers who will unconditionally love them. In reality, William was similar in his younger years; growing up in a non-magical middle-class family, he would often dream of charming a princess, spending the rest of his life in bliss within some elegant palace, and having many children. Looking back at the beginning of his previous life, he couldn't help but be emotional; what would he of that time think if he saw the scene of the daughter of a duke begging for me? Well.... It's probably best he didn't see that. Then his mind went to the potion flasks; they had once contained Enchanter's Ember Essence; this potion dr

Many mages he knew from noble families had this quality wand while still in the academy. Still, he could only afford it after working a dangerous job for almost a decade. He would be middle-aged soon! Thinking about this, Caspian slightly smiled when thinking about his current exploration; although the time commitment might be a little long, at least a month, maybe two or three months if it went long, he would earn as much as he wo
