Alex was not moved when he heard the news that he had stolen the company's money. This was utterly untrue but he couldn't deny that this was his brother's handiwork and he wasn't going to lament about anything instead he was going to make sure that he found his way out of this mess.

"So, you are a thief, with all the access you have to your brother's company, you still decided to steal from your in-laws, how shameless can you be?" One of the policemen said.

He stared at him. He was obviously bribed. The only reason he blamed himself was the fact that he wasn't vigilant enough to see through the plans. That was why Brock had been walking about with his head held high and secondly, that was why Liam came to gift them that car and that house. He was trying to buy favor from the people so that when he struck no one would have any choice but to believe.

He stared at the man again, marking his face. "I see that you've been bribed. If you are not careful, you will lose your job and I mean

Brielle's heart broke when she saw Alex in the cell. "I know that you were wrongly accused." She began and he shrugged. Now this wasn't the time that he would show his masculinity and not admit to being as afraid as she was. She didn't know how long this case was going to span and she didn't want to give birth without seeing him. Various threatening images filled her mind as she stared at him but all in all, she would not want that to happen."You look tired. Have they been stressing you out? I could call a lawyer to help out with this case. I am... I was perplexed when my mother dropped this bombshell. this doesn't even make any sense. I mean, it's obvious that you're innocent of the crime, right? I don't feel like..." She sighed and broke down as tears leaked from her eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm not supposed to be crying this hard but why wouldn't I? We all know that this is an agenda." She wiped her tears away angrily and opened her eyes before running a hand over them. Martins rested his hand against the desk that Alex formerly occupied. This was not good for business. He was trying as hard as he could to debunk the rumor that the young master was in jail but he was having a hard time doing that. This was almost as if he was jumping from fire into Hades. His phone rang and he already had an inkling as to who might be calling. When he stared at the face of the screen he sighed. It was Brielle. She had been worried sick and was pleading with him to make sure that her husband didn't stay so long in prison. She didn't understand that it wasn't that easy to stop news that had spread across borders. There was only one person who could pardon Alex and withdraw the case but he was in a coma and that was not all, Brock had managed to vote his mother out of the board so this was a proper mess. "Hello, ma'am." "Call me Brielle," Brielle answered. She was feeling very stressed and he didn't reach out to her anymore making her feel worried. "What is the lates

Liam and Brock sipped from their glasses of wine as they shared laughter when they watched the news. "your brother must be in a great dilemma. He's finished, it's over for him." Brock commented as the news ended. Liam shrugged, "He should save himself with his brains after all, that's what people do when they are stuck in unpleasant situations, isn't it?" Brock shook his head at the conniving Liam. He was also scared of him. "You don't feel any remorse seeing your brother in that state and his image tarnished?" Liam shrugged carelessly" I don't care about him. I told him that he shouldn't dare me and he did. Moreover, " he took another sip while glaring at Brock, "weren't you the one who suggested the idea? Why the sudden change in attitude? Are you suddenly feeling remorseful?"Brock grinned, neither affirming nor denying. "You don't strike me as someone who would repent. You would burn in hell till there's no more fire, so you

I will not be happy if I discover that you don't possess all the characteristics that I want in a woman." Brock told his lady interest who was a bit tired of entertaining this stranger who had been yapping about his achievement since they began the date. It was annoying and at the same time pissing her the hell off This was a legit reason for her to turn him down but what would she do? She had to collect her share of the money that he had gotten through ill means. "I see that you don't care about whatever people say and I don't know if I find that refreshing or a bit scary," Elena responded.Brock stared at the lady before him. She was the epitome of beauty and he was gunning to make her his wife not for any other purpose except the fact that she looked very good, and looked like she could manage a business and a home at the same time. She was good for his public image. He broke into a small smile. "I know that you're probably bored of me. Isn't that right?"She shrugged because sh

Brielle decided to go out of her house after staying holed up in there for the greatest part of the week. She was beginning to get sick and decided that the best way to cope was to make sure that she was out of the place as soon as possible, she didn't want to die of depression. She headed toward the nearest cafe and walked in, the aroma of doughnuts hitting her right in the face as she tried to enjoy the change in scenery. Thankfully, the paparazzi had found someone else to deal with and they no longer followed her with cameras about. "What would you like to order ma'am?" A waiter asked her and she looked up only to find out that it was Dylan, her former schoolmate. This was very lovely. She would never have imagined that he was the one. Liam and Brock sat at a round table waiting for their third party to arrive. "When is he going to arrive? He can't keep acting like a damn princess, when he's not." Liam snapped before chugging down his drink. Brock placed an arm on Liam's glass. "You're going to be inebriated before Sean arrives. That man is a lot and I don't know why I remain friends with him." "I don't know why too but anyway, I can't afford to waste my time." Liam snapped. He had a high threshold of alcohol so he wasn't scared that anything could happen to him. Brock sighed and tried to reach his number again but it was switched off. Now he was getting pissed. Was Sean playing with them? "Where the hell are you man?" He muttered.Sean appeared through the doorway with a small smile on his face. He wanted them to drink enough so that they wouldn't be coherent enough to have that conversation with him. He could weave in a lot of things yet they wouldn't be aware. The wait for him to be moved from the former cell to the new one was taking too long and Alex began to smell something fishy but unknown to them he was wiser so he had begun to make friends with fellow inmates. "Are you okay, you look stressed?" Mark inquired from Alex when he saw him leaning against the railing of the cell."Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about stuff..." Alex replied tactfully, not wanting to be referred to as the wailing inmate. There was a clear difference between him and the rest of them but he was trying so hard to make sure that he was out of this cell but these officers were ready to frustrate him "What do you intend to do right now to change the situation of things? You can't continue acting this way. I have a friend who can help you if you want." Mark offered."Yeah...I would want that but not to sound rude, why haven't you been released?" Alex and Brielle had been released from jail and the judge had ordered the immediate arrest of the real culprits after promising compensation to Alex and Brielle. Everyone sat in the courtroom, anticipating the beginning of the final hearing. There were reporters and people from the mass media all around the room and every single person who was involved in the case was present as well. After Alex presented all the evidence explaining his wicked brother's schemes, Liam saw that there was no way to hide anymore so he grinned again. "Yes, I meant what I said. I can't be the only one with hands pointing at me. I am just a little in number of people who are involved in this crime so as much as I would like to talk about certain things I also wanted to tell you that there might be some things that you want to change but don't have the power to. It's all in your head if you think that I won't carry out proper investigations." He said. The whole courtroom was astonished at his nonchalance. "Do you think that I would be afraid anymore? You don't even know half of what I've done. If you knew it, I'm sure that a lot of you would run mad but that won't help you one bit, instead it would dampen how fast this process should be and make you look like a fool." He spat. Temple signaled to him to stop talking so that he didn't reveal all the secrets but he refused. "The funny thi

"I, Barrister Nikki, would like the court to allow us to begin the process again so that we can have a clear picture about what will happen soon." The judge spoke while adjusting the rim of his glasses so that it settled perfectly on his nose. Nikki rolled her eyes at the declaration. It was evident that he had been bribed hence the reason for him not properly dissecting the evidence before him and choosing to believe this man over Alex. "Objection my Lord." Nikki piped up with a smile while staring her boss in the eyes. Barr. Temple who watched her grapple with many sheets of papers as she tried to bring up more evidence. "Objection sustained." They had gotten someone to set a camera inside the house to watch what was going on so that they knew the next step to take Amelia also tapped her fingers against the window as she counted one to ten in her head. The plan was simple, Brielle was to go in, seduce Sean and get him to confess to many crimes that he committed so that they could present in the court in three days. "What could be keeping her too long?" Nikki murmured angrily. They still had a lot of places to reach before midnight. Shs wanted to make everything done and over with so that she could take a nap but this was not going the way she wanted."She's not even in the line of vision. Amelia scoffed at the audacity that this lady possessed to challenge her about her presence in her cousin's house. "You're just a friend but that's beside the point. “I’m here to see Alex.” Amelia told one of the prison wardens who stared at her as though she was speaking Greek. She returned a matching glare not wanting to be intimidated at all. He asked her."I don't know why I don't have the privilege to see my in-law, last time I checked, this is the visiting time or is there something you don't want me to know about?" Amelia replied angrily. She had no respect for people who were after their bellies. The warden was tapped by his colleague who nodded to allow her in. She was a family member who was not restricted from seeing him. The first warden didn't just want to allow her in like that. There needed to be peace and orderliness. “Who are you?”“Amelia.”“Wait in the visitors room, I’ll call him for you.”Amelia was seated as she looked around and waited patiently for Alex to be brought to her.
