"How did you allow these people to operate? It's unfair to the health of the workers don't you think? Don't tell me that you weren't aware of the state of this place because I sure won't believe that. You must have eaten here twice or thrice."

The owner of the cafeteria came out of her office with a remorseful look but Alex wasn't having it. " Mrs...?" He raised a brow.

"Martha."

"Mrs Martha I have a question for you and you will answer honestly. How long have you been cooking here?" He inquired and the woman's gaze flickered to Martins who didn't bother to look her way.

He was in support of whatever judgment that was about to be passed on her because this wasn't the first strike. She had been warned severally with the promise that she would change and the emotional blackmail she put the old man through making him reconsider his decisions on firing her and that time he didn't want to sound like a bad person but now, she had finally met her match and he was here for all of it.
