Chapter 22

Brielle sighed him when she arrived at the house. Alex was waiting in front of the house and she sighed softly.

She was happy to be free. Her eyes wandered toward Alex who crossed his arms at her return. She paused when she got to the porch. He hadn't even deemed it fit to come pick her up.

" You must be tired, come in." He said and she raised a brow at his cold tone but was really too exhausted to complain. She didn't want to sound ungrateful one bit. He had transferred his rights because of her. Complaining was the last way to repay his deeds.

She walked in first, grateful that at least he opened the door for her like a gentleman. " Thank you." She whispered and stared at the silence that hit her in the form of a cold brick wall. His gaze drifted to the heater, it was off. The house felt foreign to her and she was sure that it was because she was out for a few days.

"I made tea, you can drink it when you come out from the shower." Alex cut into her thoughts.
