Upon the breaking of the day, Alex was already on his way to the office. He wanted to shock his brother and make him know that he was back. Of course, Liam would never be expecting him that would make it worthwhile for him. When he reached the gate, a few members of staff were staring at him weirdly but he paid them no mind. He would rather that they were confused than say a word to them."Will you open the gate or stand there staring at me like an alien?" He fired at the gate man who quickly adjusted himself and rushed to open up. "Good morning, sir." "Save your greetings." He replied and walked into the compound. Others might not know why he was here but he was here to check for the files that Liam had in possession. The only way that one could get information from Liam without stressing oneself. He strode right into the building and headed straight to his former office. When he arrived, there he just rested and made sure that he searched through all the drawers. He found nothing
Thirty minutes later after discussing with the lawyer he returned to the office.. he was at alert right now because of the previous encounter he just had. It was scary enough to send anyone running. He saw his brother in his office, sitting on the chair with his legs placed on the table. His eyes couldn't help but spot the dirty shoes and he wanted to wipe those legs away but he didn't want his brother to get under his skin."I didn't know you were around today. It's not easy for you to be indoors throughout. You might begin to lose weight or something worse might happen to you. Why didn't you come to me earlier?" He replied.Alex stared at him in annoyance but didn't utter a word.Liam's eyes raked over Alex's figure. "Why do you look troubled?" "I don't think it's appropriate for the CEO to have so much time on his hands to come chat with his member of staff. It's bewildering." He replied and shut the door quietly. It was obvious that Liam was just egging him on and as someone who
Alex stared at his brother with intensity and knew that he wasn't kidding. For Liam to be so bold in doing something meant that he had gotten his plans ready and was certain that they'd materialize. This made him a bit skeptical."Hmm, my money can only be withdrawn after three months of being unclaimed." Liam's lips tilted into a smirk as he stared at his brother, this time he was a step ahead or so he thought, "Oh, is that what you were told?" Alex refused to show any expression, so he cocked his head, "Do you think that you can do all of these without getting my approval? I mean you must be joking right? There's no way that you will get that money without my consent," Liam threw his head back and laughed heartily while staring at his brother who didn't realize that he was being scammed. " Oh, man you make me laugh, and it's good. I like it. Do you really think that I came here to joke with you? You aren't the only one with genius brains, like I told you earlier. I'm ready for yo
Brielle's phone rang loudly distracting her attention from the book she was reading and she hissed wondering who called. After checking, she saw that it was none other than Nikki. She was surprised at the call wondering what could possibly be happening to make her call. "Hey, dear." "I'm good. I called to inform you about the latest development in the company. Your husband is on the verge of losing his shares if he doesn't act fast. I heard that Liam has recruited some lawyers to backdate the document so that it expires soon. He's been angry so I wasn't able to pitch it to him." Brielle was shocked at what she was hearing. Alex was stubborn and might not want to claim it immediately. "Okay, let's see what I can do .I'll get back to you. Do you have proof whatsoever that I can present to him?" She inquired."Yes, I do. I'll send it to you right now, should I expect a positive response from you soon? I don't want issues to arise because we weren't able to tackle it at the root level.
Alex kept wondering what happened in this place because it was obvious that this man who was being scolded wasn't at fault. Unless there was another break that he was unaware of but if it was still this, then his brother was making a mistake. However, hesitant, he refused to show any emotion because it would point him out as the culprit which was the last thing he wanted. He stared at his brother who went off ranting and threatening to lock the innocent man up causing Alex to be amazed by the sheer foolery that his brother was displaying.Even if he wanted to lock the man up which he didn't approve of by the way, this wasn't the best way. It had to be somewhat secretive. Shouting at the reception had to be an utter display of madness. Even he who had a volatile temper knew when and where he displayed his volatility. Alas, not everyone has the decency that he possessed and he didn't mind them. His brother spotted him among the group of people staring at him and was still ranting. He
Upon his arrival at the bar, he saw his friend, sitting on the further end in the lounge sipping a beer. He didn't even bother to put it in a bottle. He reasoned. Liam waved at Brock, signaling him to come over to the VIP area and he nodded, and went toward that area. "Hey, man. What are you doing here on a hot afternoon?" He demanded.Liam sighs, his thoughts consuming him. "Well, I don't know yet. I can't even fathom what the problem is." Brock pulled out a chair and plopped on it, settling in. Immediately, a waiter comes their way but he signals her to leave. It wasn't Everytime that a customer was ready to order things. Some people just came here to clear their heads." Tell me about it." He tells Liam, who rubbed a hand across his face. " Is it that serious?" He inquired, feeling a bit worried about Liam's display.Liam shook his head. " It's about Alex. That man is out for my life." He complained.Brock laughs, "I could have sworn that it was something more grave." He replied
Brock gets furious, " Stay away from my cousin. I don't want you near her. Get far away from her, you hear me?" He replied to him angrily."Yes, I did. Hey, stop being worked up. It's only a matter of time before you realize that maybe just maybe you've just been getting annoyed for nothing. It's not that deep you know?" "I mind, so it's very deep to me. I would like it if you don't ever mention something like this before me. It won't be easy for me to get on from that. If you want me to be happy with you then, you have to stay away from her for friendship's sake." "It doesn't speak well of you to tell me to stay away from your cousin." Liam teased him but raised his hands in surrender when he saw his countenance. "It's not that serious!"Brock frowned and got up.“Hey man, what’s wrong, where are you going?” Liam asked, shocked by Brock’s sudden actions.“As far away from you as possible,” Brock replied and took out a number of dollar bills to pay for his drinks. “Aw come on Broc
“Well, that was weird,” Sean said and Amelia chuckled. “I am really sorry about that. He can be overprotective, but I guess someone must have really pissed him off for him to have behaved in that manner,” she said as they watched Brock leave the building.“Anyways, have you met him before?” she asked and Sean raised a brow in confusion.“Have I met Brock before?” he asked to confirm if that was what she was saying and she nodded.“Well, I wouldn’t say I have met him before, but yeah, he does look and feel familiar,” Sean said with a shrug. “We might have crossed paths at a number of events, plus I have seen him in a magazine or two, but I wouldn’t say I know him,” Sean explained and shrugged his shoulders. “Anyways, back to business, I think we have engaged in a little too much small talk,” Sean said, redirecting their conversation. “I would like to know what you have in store for me,” he said and Amelia nodded. She reached into her purse and pulled out an apple tablet, scrolled thr
