Chapter 85: The assassin

"Fuck you!" Robin yelled in anger and hurried forward.

Yet again, Thomas stood in front of Derek, stopping Robin in his tracks.

Robin regarded Thomas for a moment, as hot anger coursed through him. He felt agitated, worried, and sad. But he knew there was no way he would be able to do anything at that moment.

"You will regret this!" He muttered instead, his eyes brimming fire before he pulled back with his men.

When Cynthia pulled back, the next thing that Derek noticed was Robin's retreating steps.

He pulled back as well, though still shocked. "You didn't have to do that."

Cynthia looked everywhere but him. "I'm sorry. It was the only thing I could think of at that time."

Derek regarded her for a moment. "Are you ok, by the way?"

Cynthia nodded once and unconsciously pulled back the rebellious hair on her face. "I will leave now then."

Derek was still watching her. "I will escort you home if I must," he said quickly. "I must ensure that you arrive home safely."
