"I don't need to! I know my father's true colour!" She argued.

Derek released a sigh. "Don't miss this opportunity, Clara. Well, it's not going to affect you in any way. If he truly is your father, you will get to see what he looks like. And if he's not_," he smiled softly, "Then you will know how grateful you will be."

Maribel huffed. "I don't need your help!"

Derek took a step backward. "Your choice but I will still do this as a parting gift. I don't have anything against you anyway. Your father is the one that offended me and so, he would be the one to pay for it."

Maribel regarded him for a moment. "I don't need your help, Derek. Fight for yourself. You need to find a way to escape Morris' wrath. You must think that would be very easy for you to do," she spat out. "You will die like your father did if you aren't careful."

Derek shrugged. "Briefly. Five days, Clara. Five days. Think about it. I will be here tomorrow morning for your decision," he finished and turned around to leav
