Well, Adrian decided to ignore it, thinking maybe she was just like that—weird, and smiling.

"Jameson is having a meeting right now. He actually didn't plan for it. It was a sort of impromptu meeting. It was uncalled for so he had to attend to it using Skype. He'll be down in a moment, so in the meantime, I can keep you occupied. I'm Maya, Jameson's wife." She explained, then introduced herself as she walked to him, extending her hand.

He shook it politely and she held onto his hand. Adrian wondered what was wrong with her. She had just called herself Mr. Jameson's wife so why was she still trying to flirt with him? Was she there to sabotage his mission?

"Would you let go please?" He asked, the words polite and soft but nothing like the hard look in his eyes, and she smiled, then left his hand.

He was highly irritated by her actions, but he had to keep it calm and cool, so he wouldn’t blow up his chances even before he could start.

"You're just what I like. Well, follow me. I want to

Adrian stared at the magazine not knowing how he was going to sneak his way into Mr. Checker's heart, if he wasn't even going to listen. Then Maya picked up the magazine and stared at it, but didn't make a comment. She only sipped her wine, carefully as she stared at it, and then seconds later, her eyes met with Adrian's and she raised a brow. He looked away from her, and turned to Mr. Checkers."What day do you think would be perfect for you to listen?" Adrian asked, and Mr. Checkers looked out the window with a look of utter disinterest pasted on his face. "I'll call you very soon. Although, I do not assure you that I will still agree to sell the land." He continued, raising his glass to his lips."Honey, don't drink too much wine. Whenever you drink too much, you do not eat whatever I cook." Maya whined and she went over to him, taking the glass of wine from him gently, and he looked up at her, with a smile on his face."I can't help it. The wine is delicious." Mr. Checkers count

On the other hand, Lucas was with his camera, around Steve Wilson’s house, that is; Adrian’s previous house.“What the hell does Regina keep looking for, here?” He uttered, under his breath. He felt that Regina was naïve to what Steve Wilson could do, even if they were both planning something together which she is a hundred percent aware of.He took the picture of her stepping in, as evidence, in case it was needed by Adrian for something. Either to believe that Regina kept going there, or for any of his wit games. He was about to remove his mask, while turning around to leave, then he bumped into a huge body. Lucas looked up to find out who it was that he had bumped into.Behold, it was a man, in dark suit. He looked so rigid, and his facial expression was firm.“Why does his face look like someone who is capable or murdering without any traces, found?” Lucas thought to himself, fearfully. “Who are you, and why do you keep on staring at that mansion?” The man questioned, with his e

Adrian immediately regained his composure and took a step back."Listen, I have my ego too, lady. Tell me if you're interested or not. You were all into me this morning, bugging and clinging onto me. Thinking about it, I decided that there's nothing for me to lose so I could tally with you.” He uttered and paused for a while.“But next, you accuse me of using you. Who's using who in this stuff? You want to use me because your oldie is not enough for you. Isn't that what's happening here?" He attacked her, feigning anger and she blinked, rethinking everything and the anger cleared from her eyes."Well…" she was saying but he held up a hand."And did I ever suggest you help me with your husband? Think back on our conversation. I only commented about how the dinner wasn't perfect because your husband wasn't exactly pleasing. You're the one who went off bragging about how you could turn his heart of stone into foam." He shot at her."I wasn't bragging!" She said and her eyes began to shi

I will help you with anything you want; even thrice of whatever Maya is going to help you with.” She assured him, with a wink.“I’m sorry. I can’t do this. You can keep all these to yourself, or get another man. But as for me, I’m not interested.” Adrian rejected her, in the calmest manner.“Come on. Don’t be a kill-joy. I’m assuring you that you won’t regret listening to me. I’m going to buy you any car you want, anything, just name it.”“And I said I’m not interested.” Adrian repeated, now looking serious about it.He didn’t want to come off as being rude, especially as it was the first time, they were meeting. “How did it go?” Adrian asked, out of curiosity and anxiousness.“He wants to see you, Adrian. And I think what you present to him, matters. All he needed was to make a good presentation of what he wanted to convince him, on. “I understand. I’ll try my very best. I can be on my way, now, right?”“Yes, you can.”Just after he ended the call, he picked up his jacket, and stepped out of the hotel room, and hailed a cab as soon as he got to the entrance. His drive to Mr. Checkers’ home, was smooth, and fast.In no time, his ride got to Mr. Checkers’ home, and he paid the man off, before he walked to the doorstep, and rang the doorbell.Maya was the one who opened the door, and she welcomed him.“Are you prepared?” She asked him, looking

Adrian!” He called out to him, and shook him to get a hold of himself.Adrian opened his eyes with cold beads of sweat on his forehead, then he looked at Lucas, and looked at his stomach, but there was no wound or anything.“The man who just left. Did you see any man?” Adrian asked, looking baffled.“No. You were the only one in the hallway. What’s going on?”Adrian checked his stomach again and confirmed that nothing had really happened to him, and if he were to believe Lucas, it meant that something was wrong with his mind.“Did Rose drop a contact?” Adrian asked as Lucas helped him up.“Oh! Yeah, yeah, she did. Is there a problem?” Lucas asked again, completely confused on what exactly was going on with Adrian.“I need to ask her a question. I just saw a man, and you claim there was no man. And… he stabbed me. But I can’t see any trace of any wound on me.”“

“Do I know you from somewhere, perhaps?” Adrian asked, still staring at him in confusion. Then the man chuckled and let out a sigh.“It really is a beautiful day. Been waiting for this day, and now, I finally have it.” He uttered.Adrian managed to sit up, but was still feeling a little light-headed, so he leaned on the pillows that were provided for him.“Who are you?” Adrian asked, followed by a grunt.“I am Arthur Wilson, son of Steve Wilson whom you took down.” He introduced himself, now looking serious.Even though Adrian saw the resemblance, he was still shocked that it was truly Steve Wilson’s son. Since he was the one, it meant he was out to take revenge.“I see you’re here to take revenge for your father. But let me tell you one thing. Your revenge is no way justified.” Adrian said, with clenched teeth.Arthur cackled and did a one-time spin, then moved closer to Adrian.“You really think you get to decide what’s justified or not? You must be kidding me. My father might have
