It was a cold morning, following the rainfall of the previous day. Kelvin drove into the compound and sauntered into the house. He hadn't gotten the news of the recent development between his parents, as Gregory had sworn never to be the one to break the news to him.
As he entered the house, his grandpa was rounding up a phone call, standing by the sofa with a glass of whiskey in his left hand.Kelvin sighed and let out a warm smile. “Hey Popsi,” he said as he walked towards him."You realized that you shouldn't be drinking right? How many times have the doctors warned you about that?”"Oh please, fuck the Doctors!" Connor said, and Kelvin chuckled.“Have you heard from your parents?"“What do you mean? I hear from my parents every time," Kelvin said. Clearly, he was not aware of what had happened the previous day.Keeping it a secret from him would be pointless, and Connor knew was definitely gonna find out soon enoug7 days later, Pamela was having her happiest moments with Frank in the Philippines, while Kelvin struggled with Katherine's presence at work. Becca had divorced Gregory, and Gregory was forced to leave the house. There was no point remaining in the house when he was no longer married to Becca. Although he had enough money, he still misses the presence of Becca. Shockingly, Mariana couldn't fill in for her. Mariana had turned out to be a menace, unlike he had hoped, he came to realize that she didn't want him like he thought. She only cared about punishing Becca. That very evening, Pamela and Frank had agreed to attend a popular festival held in a popular arena. As time approached for the hangout, Pamela sat on the bed when she realized that the photographer she had employed had yet to arrive. She picked up her phone and dialed his number, but she couldn't reach him. Immediately, the door opened, and Frank entered the house. It was a
24 hours later, Connor Woodlock was seated on the sofa, when Kelvin walked in. He walked briskly and greeted his grandpa, announcing his presence. As he turned to head for the staircase, Connor stopped him.“We need to talk, Kelvin. It's about the recent development in the family. I'm not happy that your parents are divorced, it's very terrible news for me to take. But still, there's nothing I can do to change that." He said, and Kelvin paused and returned to the sofa. “Everything already, grams?”"You talk as if there's something I should know that I don't know yet." He said, and Connor paused. He smacked his lips and exhaled deeply.“You're the strength of this family, son. Always remember that. Mind you, there are lots of things you don't know, and I wish I could tell you, but it's not that simple. I only hope that you won't get to find out. Just focus on maintaining a good legacy for our family, that's all, son.”Hearing those words,
“What happened?" Becca asked, rushing into the hospital, while Kelvin was in a hot argument with Katherine.“Mom, have you been able to reach Katherine?" Kelvin asked, rushing towards her, leaving Katherine at the corner.“But I told you already, Kelvin. Her number is not going through." Katherine interrupted, making him pause. His eyes darkened with uncontrollable rage as he turned around.Becca was confused at the moment, everything seemed to be happening too fast. She furrowed her brow searching for clarity over the fog that had settled in her thoughts.“What exactly happened? I didn't seem to get what you were saying on the phone. You said something about a phone call," she said to Kelvin, and he exhaled deeply. Immediately, the nurses came out of the hospital room and walked past Kelvin without a word. Kelvin and Becca exchanged gazes, their expression a clear sign that a shred of confusion had engulfed them. Kelvin furrow
“No, that cannot be. It cannot happen at all, I refuse to believe." Uncle Theo yelled, his eyes turned red, showing that he feared that Kelvin's words might be true, but he wouldn't believe it.Kelvin sighed and stood up from his seat. As he walked towards the exit, he stopped and turned around facing his mother.“Remember what I told you today, whatever has befallen Pamela, Frank is involved. I'm telling you this so when you see him again if you ever will, then you must take legal action against him.”“To do that, we need to find evidence of his conspiracy and plot against Pamela or the family. Somehow, I know that there is a piece of evidence somewhere, we just need to find it. And as for you, Mom, stay away from Mark and General Orlando.” Kelvin said abruptly and walked out of the house. Hearing those words, Gregory turned facing Becca, he furrowed his brows, a puzzled look crossing his face as he tried to make sense of those words.“What's that?" He asked, and Becca glared at him
3 days later, the burial of Connor Woodluck was being arranged, and Pamela was still missing. The news of Frank being admitted to a hospital in the Philippines reached Boston, and Uncle Theo had instructed Kelvin to go and bring Frank back to the city. That was the only way they'd understand what had happened to Pamela. All news and TV broadcasting channels in the country were talking about the tragedy that had befallen the Woodlucks. The cloud was dark, it was about to rain at around 9 am in Vancouzer. Katherine plodded tiredly towards her car, she couldn't get her mind off Pamela. Since Kelvin had not been to work for the past 3 days, everything fell on her shoulders alone. She knew she had to keep the company in order till Kelvin returned. As she drove into the talk building, every employee had their eyes on her, as she walked past them. As she entered the office, footsteps followed her behind, it was Nancy the new Chief Operating Officer. A contagious smile erupted her gaze a
“Come on, come on, Kelvin pick up, Please," Katherine muttered. It was past 6 pm, and she had closed work for the day. She decided to try Kelvin's number one more time before leaving the office, but still nothing had changed. The squeaking sound from the door caught her attention, and she put down the phone. Nancy walked into the office with a beaming smile on her face, and Katherine sighed.Nancy was the epitome of beauty. She was tall and curvy, with long black hair cascading behind her back. She had a contagious smile that exposed her sparkling white teeth. “Are you free?" She asked, staring at Katherine who furrowed her brow confusedly.“What?"“What do you mean by "what?” Are you free tonight? I'd like to hang out with you. You're always working, it makes me wonder if you have enough time for yourself. Let me take care of you tonight, it'll be fun trust me.” She said and Katherine sighed. Her shock was obvious, looking into her eyes. You could tell she was struggling to compre
The next morning, the sun was shining brightly, its rays casting a great warmth and washing off the coldness from the previous night. Kelvin had returned to Boston, and with him was Frank who was still in a coma. The Woodluck mansion experienced a great silence that morning, as the family gathered for a meeting after seeing the level of injury inflicted on Frank. The fear and tension were evident on their faces, including Kelvin's. Pamela's whereabouts were becoming clearer with each passing day. “What could've happened that day? And why would Frank order the security men to stay back and not follow? What could have happened to my daughter?” Theophilus asked theoretically. His voice echoed his great pain and agony. There was a short silence, as nobody had an answer to his question. Kelvin's gaze fixed on the floor, as he battled with every possibility.“Maybe Kelvin was right after all. Maybe Frank was a danger to my daughter, and I failed to see it. This is my fault. I failed as
“This Is bad.”"I find it hard to believe that Carlos Santiago had a son. If you're right, then there is a problem.”Kelvin raised his brow and nodded his head slowly. “So what? Are you gonna tell me what I asked to know? Or are you going to keep pretending not to know a thing?"Becca sighed deeply, the information was a big blow to her, and she wondered what could happen now that Mark was back.“It's a long story, Kelvin. it's not something you would understand in such a short time.”"Well, let's begin already then. You're my Mom, we have all the time we need.” He said. She sighed and shifted her gaze to the other end of the garden, her shoulders slumped as she sighed, a sign of her internal struggle and indecision. “Your grandfather was not responsible for the death of Carlos Santiago. At least, that's what I know." She said, and Kelvin widened his eyes in surprise. His eyes squinted, as he struggled to understand what she meant.“Yes, there was a meeting led by your grandfather.
