Chapter 147

Pamela sat quietly on the bed with her legs crossed together. Her face had gone pale and her eyes red due to excessive crying. She sniffed l, staring at the tiny picture inside her necklace.

It was the only picture she had on her to remember her family. Hot years had a father in her eyes waiting to break out. She held onto the pics across her chest and raised her face to the ceiling.

“Kelvin, I'm sorry. I should've listened to you. I don't want to die here," she lamented with a broken voice. The door flung open, and Elias entered the room with a plate of sandwiches in his hands.

He noticed her tears that had found their way out of her eyes, and he sighed deeply.

“Not again, Pamela. Listen, I already told you. You will be safe as long as your family does what's expected of them.” He said to her. She scoffed and narrowed her eyes.

“And what is that if I may ask? What is expected of them?" She asked. He shrugged off and placed the plate on the table beside her.
