Kelvin kept staring at the document, a flashback from 4 nights ago came flashing across his mind. His crazy erotic sex with Katherine.
Flashes of her screaming and moaning his name, as he pounded her mercilessly came flashing back into his mind. He sighed, trying to get his mind off that memory.
For a second, he tried to believe that they were fooling him, as they do to each other sometimes. But the handwriting on the document was Katherine's, and so was the signature.
There was no other explanation, his marriage was about to collapse. He wished Katherine was there, so he could look her in the eyes and demand an answer.
"What are you waiting for? Jesus Christ, just do it already!" Johnny yelled, but Kelvin pretended not to hear him.
He took in a deep sigh and sauntered out of the house, holding onto the document.
"Where are you going?!" Mariana screamed, chasing after him. He ignored her and climbed on his bicycle. Before Johnny could try to intercept him, he zoomed off, towards Katherine's office.
It was late at night, Katherine had told him she was working overtime, due to the massive leftover files that needed to be attended to.
But following this present incident, he understood why she stayed late. She can't look him in the eyes and tell it to him, so she sends her family to do the job for her.
It was about a 10-minute drive to the Fubris company, where Katherine worked. In no time, he was standing right in front of the tall building, with "Fubris Company Ltd'' boldly written at the top of it.
The Fubris company building was sitting in a rural town, right beside the sea. During the day, there is critical traffic, due to its busy road. At night, a cool breeze from the sea travels across the town.
Kelvin stopped by the building, but he didn't alight from his bicycle. He gazed at the tall building before him and couldn't help but wonder "How did Katherine get such a job from such a company."
"Maybe that's why she's divorcing him. Maybe she found someone better. Maybe Mariana was right to some extent," he was carried away by his thoughts, until a car passed through the watery part of the road and splashed water all over him.
"Hey!! Are you blind? Dumb fucking son of a bitch!" he cursed at the driver. He returned his gaze to the building and alighted from his bike.
He had calmed down a bit, as he sauntered towards the entrance door and found out it was open. Even if he would ever divorce Katherine, he wanted to look her in the eyes as it happened.
He found his way in and luckily, Katherine's office was just by the corner. He heard her voice talking to someone, and it was a male voice that was responding to her.
As he approached her office, he began to hear them clearly.
"Once you get the document signed, nothing is stopping us from becoming husband and wife. And I promise that I will promote my wife to the position of manager. You can trust me on that." the deep male voice told Katherine.
Kelvin dropped his shoulders in shock and gasped. A touch of ice ran down his spine, making him mumble words quietly.
He was vexed by the man's words. Tiny veins crept on his forehead, as he wallowed in rage.
Even though he had promised himself not to get angry at Katherine, he couldn't ignore what he just heard, so he kicked the door open and stormed into the office, startling them.
Sitting on the chair was Duncan, a man in his early 30's. Only by his suit, you could tell he was a really rich dude.
Katherine was sitting comfortably on his lap, with his hands wrapped around her waist as Kelvin walked in. She jerked a little, but Duncan held her tightly, as he glanced at Kelvin in disdain.
Duncan was the son of Gallagher, one of the directors of the Fubris Company Ltd.
Katherine began to panic, a shadow of shame passed over her face, etching lines of remorse.
"How dare you batch into my privacy without permission from me?" Duncan snarled at Kelvin, but Kelvin ignored him, his angry gaze fixated on Katherine, his beautiful wife.
Katherine was a beautiful woman in her late 20s. She was 5.7 feet tall, with an hourglass shape.
Her long black hair, curvy hips, and big butts make her beauty visible from afar. Her smile displays her perfect set of sparkling white teeth. She was indeed an epitome of beauty.
Kelvin stared at her with anger and pain. His love for her had withered away. He was disappointed that she sent him divorce papers on the night of their anniversary, while she was flirting with another man.
"Hello??" Duncan said, waving at Kelvin, but Kelvin acted like he wasn't seeing anyone else in the room, except Katherine.
Katherine forcefully freed herself from Duncan and stood up from his lap. She turned to Kelvin and clenched her fingers together, her gaze fixated on his lower body, avoiding contact with his eyes.
"Uhhm!! What are you doing here Kelvin?" she asked, remorse hung heavy on her countenance, like a dark cloud obscuring the sun."
"Hahaha!!!" Kelvin laughed awkwardly.
"Really? Like, am I supposed to answer that question?" he asked, his countenance changed immediately. He stared at her in disgust.
"We're married for god sake Katherine!!! How can you be this shameless?" he yelled at her, but she flinched at his words and couldn't utter a word.
Duncan who had been silent the whole time got infuriated. He got up from his seat and charged at Kelvin. "You son of a bitch!" he roared angrily.
He stretched his left hand to punch Kelvin in the face, but Kelvin bent his head to the right, avoiding his punch.
He pulled back and came again, this time for his lower body, but Kelvin took two steps back, avoiding the punch yet again. At this point, Duncan lost balance and staggered.
Before he could regain balance, a terrible punch from Kelvin landed on his face, and he dropped to the ground. Blood gushed out of his mouth.
He was still struggling to catch his breath, when another punch landed on his nose. He collapsed and rolled on the floor crying out in extreme pain. But Kelvin wasn't done.
As he charged to land more punches on him, came a scream from Katherine. "You crazy asshole, leave him alone. You're killing him," she yelled.
On hearing those words, Kelvin retreated and faced her. "So that's it huh?"
"You're gonna marry him just to get promoted. So this is the love we promised each other? You know what Katherine, I hate to be the obstacle holding you back." He snapped angrily and picked up the divorce papers.
He put his pen on the paper and signed on it. When he raised his head, Katherine had fear in her eyes, she wasn't sure of what she was doing. But he did not care.
He handed her the document and left the office without looking back. Katherine gasped and dropped the document on the table, so she could help Duncan up his feet.

Outside the company building, Kelvin sat on his bicycle and dialed a number. He clenched his phone to his ear, his face burning with rage.
"Hello," Kelvin said as a pugnacious sound rang in his ears from the phone.
"Hello Uncle," he greeted.
"And who am I speaking with?" a deep voice roared from the phone.
"It's me, Uncle Theo. It's Kelvin."
"Sorry, you're who?" he asked, unsure of what he heard the first time.
"Come on Uncle Theo, it's me, Kelvin."
"Kelvin?!!!" the person on the phone exclaimed, so much joy in his voice.
"My goodness! It's been 3 years since you left home Kelvin. Where are you? What's going on there? And how is your girl? The girl you abandoned your family to be with."
"Where are you, Kelvin? When are you coming home? Please tell me something nice." He kept bombarding Kelvin with questions. There was so much joy and delight in his voice. Uncle Theo was an elder brother to Kelvin's Mom. But he sees Kelvin as his son and his responsibility. His love for Kelvin was as powerful as a father's love. "Katherine and I have divorced Uncle," Kelvin said abruptly, cutting him off. There was a short silence over the phone. "Hello," Kelvin said, glancing at his screen to be sure the call was still going. "Yeah, I heard you. That's a good thing, I warned you before remember." Uncle Theo said as he care less about his feelings. He never liked Katherine for once. "How long?" He asked. "Just today Uncle. Honestly, it doesn't matter." Kelvin said."Good, you should get over it. Remember I told you she's not worth it. You should have listened to me, boy." He declared."You were right Uncle, I'm sorry for not listening sooner," Kelvin said in a soft tone."Good!
Kelvin rode his bicycle into the compound, and Katherine followed closely with her Mercedes Benz GLK 350. When Kelvin entered the house, Mariana and Johnny rushed towards him, with anger."And where have you been? Where is the document? What have you done to it?! You animal!" Mariana roared continuously. Kelvin ignored her to enter the room, but she held his trousers and dragged him back."Where are the papers, you useless fool? Why are you doing this to us? What's so difficult for you to sign? Can you please leave my family alone?" Mariana continued, her eyes had become teary.Kelvin only stared at her in anger, but he didn't utter a word."Kelvin, you have to sign this document. We don't want you in our family anymore. We can't take a share of your failure, you asshole." Johnny snapped in.Immediately, Katherine came into the house with the document in her hands. Hearing those harsh words from her family, a sad expression flew across her face."Hey, darling, you have the document.
At exactly 11:30 a.m., Kelvin stood right in front of the courtroom, sipping from his canned water. His divorce with Katherine had just been finalized in the courtroom a few minutes earlier. No one was happier than Mariana, as she smiled sheepishly and basked in the rising sunlight. One would think she had received a medal, for putting so much effort into destroying her daughter's marriage. Katherine had arranged herself to return home, when she spotted Kelvin standing right by the far end of the building, sipping his water like he didn't care. She plodded in his direction, with her hands folded across her chest."Hey," she greeted, and Kelvin waved his hand like he didn't know who she was."Uhh! You've got a moment?" She asked, forcing a smile on her face. "I definitely don't want to waste it on you, so you can go…" Kelvin retorted carelessly."Can you please listen to what I have to say?" She said, raising her voice."Gosh! Katherine, you wanted to divorce, I've given you what y
It was Friday morning, and the bustling city of Vancouzer was booming, as people went about their various daily activities like nothing else mattered. Kelvin rode his bicycle speedily down the road. He was late for work, and he knew his boss wouldn't take it easy with him. On reaching the small company, sitting in the rural street, two police vehicles were lying in wait, right in front of the company. He couldn't help but wonder what was going on.He packed his bicycle and sauntered towards the door. On entering the company building, all eyes fell on him. His heartbeat increased as he began to panic, wondering what he had done. "Kelvin," an unfamiliar voice called him from behind. He turned around and saw a giant man in a police uniform. He was about 5.9 feet tall, his muscles pushed out of his uniform, displaying his scary nature. "You're Kelvin right?" The police officer inquired."Yes, that's my name." Kelvin retorted confidently. His gaze showed confusion."You're under arre
Inside the police quarters, Kelvin was left alone in a quiet room. He had a dull face reminiscing about what Katherine had told him back in the field. He should've listened. Could it be Katherine who wants to punish him for refusing her sexual advances? Who was the young man laughing at him back in the company, as the police took him away? Different thoughts occupied his mind. The door flung open, and 3 policemen entered the room with a file. Kelvin glared at them, knowing very well that he was innocent of the accusations."Have you come to make a bluff, officer?" Kelvin asked, showing no sign of anxiety. A weird smirk covered his face, as he shifted his gaze from one of the policemen to the other."Listen to me Kelvin, I know you're stubborn, but trust me, it won't help you here.""We're the only ones who can save you from going to jail. All you have to do is admit the truth, that you stole the Strongbox." The policeman with the file said to him. Kelvin raised his head and furrowed
Kelvin sat down on a wooden chair, his hands and legs bound with a strong rope. Blood oozed out of his mouth, as he faced the ground, trying to catch his breath.Duncan and Johnny had beaten him mercilessly, while the two policemen in the room just watched, till he fainted. They left him to wake up from slumber, before they would continue. When Kelvin woke up, he was bleeding from every angle of his body. He darted his eyes around, praying no one would notice he had woken up. But unfortunately, one of the policemen saw him and announced it to the others.Kelvin gasped in fear, seeing Duncan marching towards him. Duncan wouldn't stop trying to get Kelvin to admit that he stole the Strongbox.Once Kelvin has accepted, he would cast him to jail, and make sure he never sees the sunlight in the outside world again. But Kelvin had proved to be stubborn. "You're awake now boy. Let's talk, before you undergo more series of punishment," Duncan said, staring mockingly at Kelvin. Kelvin star
Sudden silence engulfed the room. Kelvin gazed at the crowd standing before him with satisfaction in his eyes. He let out a low smile, and frowned his face, feeling like the boss.Duncan couldn't take his gaze away from Kelvin. "Who the fuck is he? Is he that influential?" Duncan kept questioning himself in his thoughts, wearing a confused expression on him.He darted his eyes around and caught Pamela's gaze fixated on him. He quickly shifted his eyes to his father, who stared at him in disgust."Somebody get this fucking ropes off me!…" Kelvin commanded. The policemen plodded towards him with trembling legs. They quickly untied him, and gave his space. Kelvin stood up and raised his shoulders, feeling like the boss. He collected a handkerchief from one of the men, and wiped the stains of blood on his lips. The whole crowd had their gaze fixated on him, but he ignored everybody's eye. When he was done cleaning up, he raised his head and smirked at Duncan and Johnny, who stood with f
5 hours later, Kelvin was lying on his hospital bed alone. Everybody had gone, including Pamela. He fixated his gaze on the roof, reminiscing about things he had missed since he eloped with Katherine. Immediately, a knock came on the door, and Katherine entered. She wore a gloomy countenance as she stepped into the room. Her gaze was on Kelvin, she stared at him sorrowfully, due to his condition. She never expected Johnny to associate with such a plan of Duncan's, so she didn't care to plead on his behalf."Hey Kelv," she greeted, but he gave her a clumsy look, and returned his gaze to the ceiling like she wasn't there. She sighed and sat on the chair close to his bed. Her gaze traveled from his head to toe, assessing the wounds her brother, and her lover inflicted on him. "How're you feeling now?" She asked in a soft tone, she blamed herself for everything that had happened. All this is happening because of the one choice she made. A glimpse of what happened back at the police q
Early on Monday morning, Mark Muller had been arrested at the airport while trying to flee the country. It was just a day before the final court hearing, and the handwriting on the wall was becoming clearer. That Tuesday morning, Kelvin and Pamela left the house for the court judgment. Kelvin pulled up at the court with his Lamborghini Aventador, while Pamela followed shortly with a fleet of luxury cars as her convoy. All press and media personnel chased after her as she alighted from the car.“Good morning miss, what do you have to say to the public about your recent disappearance? Were you kidnapped and held captive against your will?" Their desperate voices rang out in unison. Different questions kept popping up, but with the presence of the security men, she was able to find her way into the courthouse peacefully. The hearing began shortly, and after the hearing, the judge called for silence across the room. It was time for judgment to be served.Sitting at the front row, Kel
As expected, Kelvin had filed a case against Mark Muller and General Orlando, accusing them of plotting every single attack on his family, including the disappearance of Katherine and Pamela. The city was boiling with the big news, every lip had the story on them, whispering to whoever cared to listen. General Orlando being a prolific person in the country, his involvement in the case took the government by surprise. Many rubbished the news until today, the day of the hearing. After the court case, every piece of evidence presented by Kelvin seemed to tally with his claim, but due to the caliber of people involved, the judge had postponed the judgment by two weeks. Kelvin got home that sunny afternoon, his face was beaming with a smile. He felt victorious at the end, even if the damage done couldn't be undone. As he entered the house, he went straight to his room and collapsed on the bed, his face fixated on the ceiling. He gasped softly, and a thought crossed his mind. He stood
Two weeks had passed since the rescue of Pamela and Katherine, and their whereabouts remained a secret between Kelvin and his hired gun. Pamela and Katherine had settled in Bucham, a distant city from Cintria. Kelvin kept them under the guidance of Tyler, his long-time friend. For old-time's sake, Tyler had taken Pamela and Katherine in just as Kelvin instructed, and he kept their location a secret to himself. One morning, Pamela woke up with a moody face. She couldn't sleep all through the night, the urge to return to Cintria was growing on her, but she knew she had to obey Kelvin's instructions. She couldn't make things complicated for him. She sauntered towards the door, and just as she tried to pull the door open, someone pushed open from the outside, and the door struck her on the forehead. She grunted angrily in pain, as she raised her face with a furious glare, she saw Tyler staring down at her confusedly. She furrowed her brow, staring back at him. “Am I disturbing?" He a
“Assholes!" Kelvin cursed as he sauntered into the house. He went directly to the bar and poured himself a glass of whiskey.“Fucking assholes," he cursed again. He was panting heavily, after a long day at the police department, he had failed to convince the police that Mark Muller was behind the sudden death of Frank. Given the situation, it became obvious that Mark must be monitoring his movement, somehow, he managed to find out whatever he did or discussed with anyone. “Maybe he knows about Juliana already, or maybe he doesn't." Kelvin thought. He paced around the sitting room, thinking of the next move now that Frank was dead. His phone rang, and he glanced at the screen. It was a call from Dead Target. He sighed and dropped the glass of whiskey on the table gently. “What?" He said abruptly as he picked up the call. “I believe you have a mission for me. Let me hear it."Kelvin exhaled and left his seat with a little worry all over his face. “I was going to call you, but some
Flying back and forth from Vancouzer to Boston was a hectic journey, but was it worth it? Kelvin sat comfortably in his jet, it was past 11 pm, as he flew back to Vancouzer. He had returned to Boston just as Juliana instructed in her texts, and the outcome wasn't all that he had expected. “Boss we're going down, please fasten your seatbelt,” the pilot announced, and Kelvin sighed. He did as instructed, and in less than a minute, they were on the runway. Kelvin gasped, peeping through the window. His mind drifted back to the moment in Boston, Juliana's palms caressing his chest, and building his urge till he couldn't hold back anymore.Flashes from the mind-blowing sex with Juliana came crawling back into his memory, and he let out a low smile. He took off his seatbelt and sauntered down the jet. His security team was already waiting at the airport with a fleet of cars to take him home. As they drove into his compound, he alighted from the car and darted his eyes around. “Where is
It was a new day as the struggle in the Woodluck household continued. Kelvin had been to several meetings, but all proved abortive in helping his Mom. The situation behind Uncle Theo's arrest turned out to be a big disadvantage for his course, and there was no one to turn to for help. He left the bed and started making his Early morning push-ups when he heard his phone ring. He abruptly walked over to the bed and noticed it was a call from Fubris Company in Vancouzer. “What the hell?" He said and picked up the phone. It was just 7:30 am, while would he be getting such a call he thought, so he picked up the call.“This is Kelvin, what's the matter?" He asked curiously, and a dull female voice greeted from the phone, “Good morning, boss."“We have a problem," the lady said and Kelvin furrowed his brow. “Mind going straight to the point? I have too many scheduled for today."“Sir a government agency just came into the company and ordered a total lockdown of the company, and every staf
On a Monday morning, Kelvin woke up late, it was a new day to face the troubles in the family. He grunted, struggling to leave the bed, but he clearly was too tired and needed more sleep. He glanced at his side clock, past 8 already. He jumped off the bed, today was the day when he got to represent his Uncle at the Silverwood Associates. He knew he couldn't mess things up by showing up late, so he rushed into the bathroom. In the blink of an eye, he was done and was dressing himself as fast as he could. A knock came on the door, and he paused. “Come on in," he screamed, and the door opened gently. An old woman walked into the room, wearing white and a kitchen apron on her.“Good morning sir, your coffee is ready as usual. Would you like me to make something else for you before you leave the house?” She asked, and Kelvin sighed. "Naah! Don't worry, Carolina, I don't have any time to eat. The coffee will do just fine,” he said to her and she took a bow before walking out. After dre
“What does the cunny lady have for me this time? I trust that you bring good news? Spit it, I've got no time to waste.” Mark's husky voice said over the phone. Mariana swallowed nervously, her eyes darted around the room as she thought of the best way to say what she had in mind. Mark was someone she knew to be impatient and arrogant, his temper issues were something to be concerned about. She exhaled, darting her eyes around the room.“What is it? I don't have all day." He roared, and she flinched. She swallowed hard and pouted slowly."Uhm… there is a problem," she said. Sitting on his sofa inside his sitting room, he raised his brow, showing his concern for what she had to say. " Spit it out,” he commanded, and she swallowed.Fear engulfed her, thinking about what he would do when she told him the situation."It's Gregory. It happened just like you said. He is deviating from the plan, I think he is going to the police or press, I can't tell which exactly.” "Hmm!” He mumbled in s
Katherine had her gaze steadied on the road as she drove downtown. A few minutes ago, she had a serious argument with her Mom, and it didn't end well. Her eyes were filled with sadness, as she stared at the road ahead of her. She had confronted her Mom about her involvement with Mark, but it didn't go so well. Due to her state of confusion, she packed her clothes and drove out of the house unsure of where she was going. It was past 10 pm when she drove into a hotel downtown. She decided to spend the night there, and then by morning, she would worry about getting herself another house. “Good evening, Ma'am," the hotel attendant greeted with a smile on her face, and Katherine blinked twice. She was not in a happy mood, hence her awkward expression. “How many I help ma'am??" The young lady on glasses said, and Katherine sighed. “I need a room for the night," Katherine announced, and she smiled. “Ok ma'am, hold on. Would you prefer a regular room or a VIP room?” After a short consid
