Chapter 20

Adrian opened his eyes weakly as the ray of the light pierced into his eyes through the window. He rubbed his palm on his face and looked away with a cold look on his face. He bit on his lower lips as his head banged with an excruciating pain.

“What am I doing here?” He asked himself with a weak tone as he glanced across the room that was painted in white.

He turned to the left and saw an intravenous drip connected to his wrist. He shook his head with a sigh after realizing that he was in a ward.

Why am I alive? I should be dead. Shouldn't I? He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer to it.

His head panged with unbearable pain each time he tried to remember what happened last night. And when the memory came rushing back, he was angry.

He was angry that the commander came into the picture and shoved the pill down his throat, thereby stopping him from dying.

Isn't dying better? At least, he wouldn't have to feel insecure about his wife having sex with another man anymore. And
