Chapter 38

The next day, he woke up as the ray of the sun pierced into his eyes. He yawned and shut his eyes open then stood up from the floor where he spread his mattress on.

He picked up the mattress, dusted it, and pushed it inside his traveling bag.

Although it was a pity that he had to sleep in an uncompleted building, he knew he didn't have a chance. And it was better than going back to that god-damned house of his wife.

He bit on his lips and clenched his fist with an angry look on his face as the memory of what happened between his wife and Brian came rushing to his head.

As much as he didn't want to remember, the memory was still fresh.

He snapped out of his thoughts, reached out to his crutches, held it firmly, and stood up from the floor then picked up his bag from the floor.

Of course, he was supposed to collect money from those people considering how rich they were but he doesn't work that way.
