Chapter 202

After some minutes of deep pondering, Abigail turned and darted off to the room where she had locked Karla in. When she burst in, Karla, who had been trying to loosen herself, shot her a venomous look.

“Why are you back, you two-faced bitch?” Karla spat with disdain. “You had me locked up and tied here, huh? So I don't get to leave and expose you and your uncle, hm?”

Abigail, her expression filled with a mix of guilt and determination, responded calmly, “What do you think?” She walked up to Karla, surprising her by untangling the ties that bound her.

“You're letting me go?” Karla asked, suspicion laced in her voice.

“I never planned to hold you back or get rid of you. I'm not that sort of person. However I almost became that sort of person a while back, and I've realized that my parents wouldn't be happy to see their daughter being selfish and foolish. I'm never like that and I won't ever be.”
