"I dare you to lay your fingers on me and you'll see that I'm not a pushover." Arthur shoved her hands aside. He stood up and beckoned on a waiter who quickly came by.

Arthur took out his wallet and shoved some dollar notes to the man's hand, after which he left the place. He got to the place where Stella was busy with her food and paused. He glanced once in the direction of the woman and made his way back home.

At the seat where she sat, Janet let out a long sigh of despair. She had never felt so embarrassed before.

She kept wondering what gave Arthur such boldness and temerity to challenge her. How dare he? Janet tilted her head as the fire of hatred kept burning in her. The hatred she has for Arthur.

After a moment of silence, she became a little calm, gradually stood up and began to make her way back to the place where her mother was still busy with her food. She was fortunate that no one saw what happened except for the waiter who saw some water in the raiment of Arthur's food. A
