Arthur scoffed at him and left the place without saying anything else.

Harry must be a fool. Did he think that Arthur would stupid enough to act on his words?

To give Morris's job to him. Harry doesn't even deserve to work as a cleaner in his hotel.

As Arthur left the place, Harry stared at his retreating figure before he awkwardly left to continue his work.

While in the car on his way home, Arthur's mind went to Jesse and he felt bad about their current situation. He didn't mean to betray her or cause her to distrust him. More than Jesse, Arthur felt the sting greater. He never anticipated that anything of that sort would happen.

Jesse really meant her words and was not backing down.

However, Arthur was not giving up. He took out his phone and dialed Jesse's number and she took some time before picking.

"Hi, Jess."

"Hi, Sir" Jesse replied to him in a little distant voice. She would have blocked Arthur's number but felt that it would be disrespectful.
