Chapter 68
The sun beat down mercilessly on the dusty outpost as Caspian and Rodrigo approached cautiously, the tension in the air almost palpable.

They had received a tip from their contact, Carter, about a dangerous group of adversaries holed up at this location, and they knew they had to proceed with caution. The distant sounds of gunfire and shouting only served to heighten their senses as they prepared for the battle that lay ahead.

There, the two wondered who was Carter indeed as they had been looking for and hunting a particular Carter for so long.

"We need to be careful," Caspian said, his voice low and urgent. "There could be more of them than we anticipated."

Rodrigo nodded grimly, his eyes scanning their surroundings for any sign of movement. "I trust your instincts, Caspian. Let's do this."

As they crept closer to the outpost, staying low and using what little cover they could find, they could see the enemy forces scattered throughout the compound.
