Chapter 9 - First test as Baron
Caspian slept peacefully all through the night with his daughter nestled comfortably on his chest.

Even in the middle of the night, when Sonya needed to use the bathroom, Caspian roused himself from his slumber to assist her. He checked on her, making sure she was safe and content before returning to bed. Still, he could tell that he had a night.

She was the first thing he checked when he awoke in the morning. The feeling of having his daughter next to him was a fulfillment he knew he might never achieve without the help of the DiMarco empire and he was determined to pay it back.

The sun had risen by the time Caspian finished his bath and made his way to the dining area where Sonya was already seated, her face lighting up as she caught sight of her father.

“Good morning, sweetheart,” he said and the little girl replied with a grin.

As they enjoyed their meal together, Andreas Motta entered the room and bowed respectfully.

"Andreas," Caspian greeted him with a warm smile.
