"We're almost there. I was just joking with her, but she took it seriously," James explained.

"You're not just a friend; she worked for you, and you refused to pay her, calling her a 'highway'. Nana will beat the hell out of me if she finds out I attended to a stranger," Small James expressed his concern.

"Is that what she told you? We didn't reach an agreement on the phone. Ask her! I missed my breakfast because of that," James clarified.

"She said she was only joking to get your agreement, but you took it personally," Small James added.

"I'm sorry about that. I'll meet her and make it up to her," James promised.

"Good!" Small James exclaimed.

After dropping him off at the station, James made his way back to the hospital. Upon arrival, he headed straight to Nurse Nora's office but found it empty. Instead of leaving, he decided to sit in her chair and rest his back against it. He briefly considered placing his leg on her table, but the equipment prevented him from doing so.
