CHAPTER 130

James left the hospital and got into his car to find his way back home. He had not driven a metre when he saw the same boy Nora had warned not to be seen on the roadside begging. He reduced his speed to confirm if he was the same boy, but the boy was so smart that he had identified the car and took his heel immediately. He sighted James inside the car. James pursued him with his car, drove past him, and quickly got down.

The boy spun and began to run back.

James screamed and begged the boy to stop running so that he would not take him to the police.

"Wait, stop running away. I promised I wouldn't take you to the police; I just want help, please."

The boy felt the sincerity in his statement and spun again.

"I stopped because you said you wouldn't call the police; if you do, I won't forgive you. Promise me once again."

"I promise," James said softly.

He slowly walked to the boy in order not to scare him away. He grabbed his hand as he got to him and carried him to his car.
