Chapter 93

Lucas stepped out of the hospital into a warm, luminous sky lit up by city lights that stretched over the nighttime sky. As the day's findings began to sink in, the trip home seemed longer than normal. His thoughts were accompanied by the regular hum of the automobile engine as he drove through the streets he knew so well.

Lucas was engulfed by the tranquility of the suburban area as he returned home. A reassuring ambience was created when the soft light from the living room seeped out from behind the drapes. He opened the door and entered the cozy, familiar room, where the memories of his own voyage lingered.
