99: Reason to Keep Fighting

Ray and Barrett both gazed around at the many lights in the area. It seemed strange that everything seemed to be wrong.

Ray stated with a great deal of rage, “Don’t think for a second that this changes anything, Barrett! I’m going to tear you to pieces!”

But Barrett did not listen to him. Strange sounds might be heard emanating from the sides of the building.

On his body were a number of red lights, which gave the impression that they were coming from a great distance away.

Ray had an understanding of the circumstances.

He then heard one say, “They are two of the indicated open fire!”

After being given those directions, Barrett exerted all of his strength in an effort to step through the floor, but he was unable to accomplish so.

Instead, the blow generated a wave that smashed the entire glass floor, and he and Ray fell to the floor below just as the men started firing at them.

As a result of the incident, Ray sustained injuries.
