A LOST DEAL

“Maven was parked perfectly in front of the Al Thani group at exactly 9:30; her meeting with the tender organizers at the firm was scheduled to kick off at exactly 10 a.m., which Grace made sure she didn’t miss. Grace sat beside her in the car, and she pulled up in front of the Al Thani group tower. Maven knew that she had a lot to fight for before the day was over.

Perhaps she could get the chance to win this, but with the way she had stood so tensed before the panel the last time she was here She took a deep breath and smiled to herself. She pulled the mirror down and spoke some words of affirmation to herself.

“Come on, Maven, you can do this. You are smart, and you can handle everything no matter how it comes." She puffed out air a few times and then turned to Grace, who was comfortable watching her say a few self-affirmation words.

“Let us go in; I think I am ready to do it.”

“Are you sure about that, ma’am?” She asked Maben, and Maven nodded her head in response. T
