DEEP INVESTIGATION Josh has the desk littered with files and documents and pictures from the scene. He’d had a sleepless night trying to add one or two dots together. There is no way a CIA will have no clue on a case like this and from the words of the victim’s wife he had listened keenly, everyone now thinks Maven is the cause of this. But to get the facts straight she is actually innocent. He rummaged through the files tracing a finger on the list he had in his hand. His eyes fixated on the paper that he didn’t notice Ray had walked in. “Still on the case?” He asked, causing Joshua to look up for the very first time in a long while. “It’s draining man, take a look, new stories every day and the suspects did a great job in hiding all the tracks,” he answered with drooling shoulders.“Do you think we can even make a convincing report this week? The state Sheriff wants to know how far we’ve gone with investigations and you know how cruel he can be when it comes to matters like this
OUT FOR THE TRUTHJogging up the hospital stairs Josh had only one motive in y; to get to the root of the matter once and for all. There was little chaos in his heart as to whether the step was a right or wrong one but at this point it didn’t really matter how he was going to dig out the truth from them. Under this investigation he had decided not to wear his uniform until he was sure he wasn't being followed or watched by anyone. He took only the last step, landing himself in the elevator hallway. Large hall filled with outpatients, nursed well-wishers and all you can think of. He punched in the button to the fourth floor where the victims were kept. The two men are in the same room with their wives looking at them. His heart pounding against hos chest like an earthquake or a volcano was going to happen if he didn’t reach there on time. Luckily for him he got to the fourth floor without delay. The nurse who had tried to woo him the other night had been replaced by another who obv
AN INTERVIEW The sun was a bit hot when Davis stepped out. He had arranged for a secret meeting with the press. He drove the car speedily and packed right in front of the press house. He stepped out of the car wearing his sun shades and his suit. He smiled at himself and at what he was about to do. A little honk front, the car before locking it up. The two ladies assigned were already standing by the side waiting for him. He had called them earlier to tell them he would stop by the press house. By then officer Joshua was parked outside watching him as he took the woman's hands one after the other in a firm handshake. “Good day Mr. David, good to have you here”. The ladies greeted him in unison, he nodded at them and followed their lead. “This way sir”. They told him and he began to walk straight up to the direction the ladies went. He adjusted his suit and followed them. They walked through a long hallway leading to other rooms. Then when they got to the main transmission room t
A SUSPECT Since the news was finally going to spread round town David had the broadest smile on his face. This isn’t going to take anything away from him but it would definitely do a lot of harm to Maven and her profile. That was just the only motivation he was having. Now he had done what Sebastian has always wanted and what he too thought was good enough to ruin her reputation. No one was ever going to believe her and no one would believe her ever. After the interview he shook hands with Mr. Morgan and then got up to leave. They thanked him for coming then assigned one of the ladies to walk him out to his car. David had the greatest joy that he is able to achieve this great mission now. He is sure in his mind that his grandma and the family will be very proud of his decision to speak to the news men. The moment he got out Officer Josh brought his camera out and began to make videos of him. Of course he never forgets to take his pictures for evidence too. He watched him get into
LET'S SEE HOW IT GOES A soft door came on Joshua’s door. He checked the time on his phone, it was four o'clock in the evening. He had been working all morning from home since it was the weekend so he decided to take a quick nap before visiting the case on his table. “Who could be visiting without calling?” He asked himself. He got up from the couch and dragged his feet grudgingly to check the door. The doorbell comes chiming loud this time it seems the person has finally seen where the doorbell is. Joshua scoffed and when he got to the door, he grabbed the knob and pulled it open to meet a set of large blue eyes peering into his face. He squinted his eyes at the lady trying hard to recall where he had seen the face. “Good day officer, I am Bella” “Bella, I think I have met you somewhere but I just can’t recall, you know we meet a lot of people daily”. He scoffed, still unsure whether to let the lady in or not. He scanned the yard to see if she had come with any extra bodies witho
A DIG IN Marcus looked at his system again. Then typed in the Garcia name into the system. The database is quicker to find anything one needs since they are all registered. He waited for it to lead. As the system reads, Initializing… Marcus smacked his lip... he suddenly remembered he was munching on some potato chips before his boss’s call came in. He grabbed the can and resumed munching on his snack. The system began to bee “Loading…” Marcus drummed his fingers on the desk and grabbed his soda, he gulped it down his throat letting the sweet sensation it gave trail down the thirsty side of his esophagus. “Let’s see what we have” Marcus waited and for a minute it kept reading the loading sign. Marcus smacked his lip the moment the system showed complete. “Here we are”. He took a deep breath in and looked at the screen with Keen interest. “Come take a look Jamal” he said with his eyes still on the system Jamal didn’t hear because he had quickly plugged in his headset. Marcus turned
IT TAKES A LITTLE CONVINCING Maven thought about the whole thing. If she tells her mom her mom might not allow her to go for this mission. So she kept quiet about it till the day she was ready to go for it. The next morning was a Sunday. She had planned out how she would dress and what she was going to do to make Sebastian spill all the juices he has. The truth was all she needed from him and if it meant setting him up to get the truth she would. She got dressed in a nice dinner dress. She had called Sebastian the night before to book the date. She knows that telling him to stay with her in his home would be the perfect idea to make him spill the cake. She has taken her time to study Sebastian for the past years and nothing on earth would make her think he would disagree with the plan. As nature and luck would have it, she didn’t disagree with her. She had her earring on when her mother came in. “You have a date my darling?” her eyes spark as she asked her daughter. “I hav
CAUGHT IN THE ACT Maven strolled into the house. The living room was well decorated with lights and roses. The entire house smelled of sweet rose and musk. “Your house smells nice”. She said to him with a smile. “I had to do it all for you my love” he said and then went on to wine ware to get the most expensive wine. “We need to be in the mood” he said as he walked to get it. He turned the wine into a glass and gave her one. “Thank you” “So did your rich boyfriend dump you?” he asked her with a grin waiting for her response. “He is not my boyfriend. It’s you I want Sebastian” she said to him sipping the wine he had just brought, Sebastian took a sip and then winked unbelievably at her. He still doesn’t seem to understand why she had chosen a date with him at such short notice. He has his own plans to do what he wants yet he was going to wait for the perfect time. “You what me yet you chose him over me the other day”. He reminded her. “I didn’t choose him, grandma
