“What the hell were you doing out here? I thought you called in sick. Did you sneak to work while I was away?” Peter asked.

“No”. I just came out to get a few groceries.

“Groceries, for what, though?”

“For us, aren't you coming home for dinner?”

“Kayla I have a chef, and that's her job. To cook my meals, you don't have to stress yourself.

“Well, she told me her baby was sick, so I had to let her go.”.

“You should inform me next time." He said it to her. Kayla buried her head on his shoulders till they got to the house. Then he instructed the driver to take Tyler to his own house.

“What would you like for dinner?” She asked him the moment they got into the house.

“I'm filled. I have a good time at the governor's home, so I won't need any food until tomorrow." Peter said.

“Suit yourself then." She snorted the words to him and went her way. They slept that night without any trouble.
