CHAPTER 123
“Black boots”. She thought in her heart. For a second, her heart stopped beating as she gradually raised her head to meet two daggering pairs of gray eyes. She was sure she had seen the boots somewhere; she quickly recognized them, but what would Victor be stalking her for?

“Shocked to see me, huh?”

“What the hell do you want from me?” She asked him as she tried hard to maintain the panic in her heart. She looked around with the corner of her eyes, and it seemed as though everyone had deserted the pack just in a blink.

“Kayla I can see you have no shame, but I will teach that fiancée of yours a lesson," Victor spoke with spite and anger. Every word that came out of his mouth had a thick venom hanging on, waiting to sting.

As Victor's words hung in the air like a profane stench, Kayla felt a gush of irritation and fear intertwine within her. She tightened her fists, her long nails digging into her palms, but she refused to let Victor see her weakness.
