CHAPTER 14

It’s been a couple of days since the incident. Peter was sitting in his office, exhausted from working the whole day. He took a deep breath and scanned the office. His eyes caught the picture of his dad hanging beautifully on the wall. He smiled and walked over to the portrait.

He traced his finger on the old man’s face. Hi, my smile broadened. He shut his eyes and wished his father had stayed longer. He is happy his father was able to find him before he passed away.

Just within a few months, his life had taken a new turn, leading to an unpredicted breakthrough. He has lived as a destitute man all his life with his mother, even though he has been told how she stole him away when his real mother passed away.

Life has not been easy for him growing up, and so he is determined to grow so wealthy that his children and grandchildren will inherit his riches without fighting over any property like his Uncle Kennedy and his son Victor.
