CHAPTER 28

The dim fluorescent lights cast a soft glow in the hall. Music booming a big high above the normal level Victor sat at one end of the VIP lounge, two empty bottles of liquor laid on the table alongside a bottle of chilled water.

His eyes were drooling as he turned into his glass the remaining liquor in the third bottle.

"Excuse me, young lady." He called out to the waiter on the other table. She raised her head to face him. A pen is in her hand as she tries to take down a customer's order. The lady excused herself and walked up to Victor quickly.

"How may I be of help, sir?" She questioned. His eyes never leave his face. She is shocked at how fast he pushed down two bottles of liquor in just a few minutes of sitting there alone. The blaring music made it difficult for her to hear what he was saying, and she bent over to listen. The strong smell of liquor wafted through her nostrils as he spoke loudly into her.
