CHAPTER 63
Two hours later, Peter returned home, and just as he was about to pull over in the garage, his eyes caught a strange object on the ground. At first, he thought it was a reptile, but then, on closer inspection, he noticed a rod sitting beside one of his cars.

He picked it up and smiled. He knows who would have made this attempt. No other person but Peter.

"I bet he couldn't hit the cars; he learned the hard way." Peter began to laugh. By the time I am done with him, he will have no legs to walk into my garage again. He spoke to himself and put the rod aside.

It was a bit early in the evening, and work has been hectic for him.

He got inside to enjoy the rest of the evening alone.

He was in the sitting room when he heard the bang on the door. He checked his time a few minutes past 8 p.m. He adjusted his pants and headed straight for the door. He placed one eye on the peephole and saw Kayla standing at the door, vaguely lit by the light.
