"I have something to say," Storm started after a while.

Everyone listened to him intently, their eyes fixed on his stern face. "I'm ready to forgive Lucy," Storm started. He had thought hard about it and decided to forgive. "What you did was wrong, but I'm ready to let it go. I hope you have learnt from this," he said as he turned to Lucy.

Lucy, who was on the other side of the room, looked at him shocked. She hadn't expected him to forgive her so easily. The others also looked shocked that he forgave her; they hadn't planned to forgive her for a while. She didn't deserve it after what she did. Lucy, with tears in her eyes, nodded hurriedly at him.

"I have, I have learnt my lesson." She felt like her words weren't enough and continued, "I promise to make it up to you… to you all."

Storm smiled at her a little before turning back to the others before continuing, "But that isn't all. I have a condition and it applies to you all, not just Lucy."

The room fell silent, a collective frown f

Storm was having none of it. His eyes blazed with determination as he addressed the group, making it crystal clear that his decision applied to everyone, including himself. “This decision applies to everyone including myself. We are not to search for the orb or even talk about it.I’ve made up my mind about this and nothing can change that, the orb is the reason why I'm currently on this bed.”Keith interrupted,“Lucy is the reason you are on this bed,not the orb.She went out alone to find the orb and got in trouble and then, she sold you out to save herself so she is the reason not the orb.The orb wasn't the reason you were led to the forest, it was Lucy so she should be the one following the rules and not us.She was also the one who betrayed you, not us so why do we have to adhere to the condition too.” Lucy who stood at the side, dropped her head watching the floor. He was right, she's the reason Storm suffered, she was the one who betrayed him not the orb.She should be the one followi

After countless hours of a debate and intense discussions in the group, they finally reached an agreement. Storm's words had weighed heavily on their minds, and the gravity of their situation was serious and undeniable. Everyone realized that they were not strong enough to pursue the Orb on their own or together. The journey was filled with dangers, and merely searching for the Orb would only attract unwanted attention and dangerous situations they might not be able to handle. Their survival depended on making a difficult decision, they had to abandon their search for the orb. Even though they didn't want to, they had no choice.Keith spoke after a while, "What about the creature that threatened to come back for Lucy and also wanted you? What are we going to do about it? If it wanted you, that means it wasn't interested in the orb but you or is there something we don't know about?."Storm had thought about it before, he knew it was because he was the system bearer but he didn't know w

That night, after Storm was discharged from the hospital, he was making his way back home, the cool night air brushing against his skin. His mind was a whirlpool of thoughts, each one more troubling than the last. What will happen if he isn't able to fight the creature next time? Will Lillian save him again like last time? Will his friends also be in danger because of him? Is the school even safe? The creature shouldn't be able to enter the school but he didn't know what the creature was capable of.He had barely taken a few steps when, out of nowhere, Magebreaker appeared in front of him. The sudden appearance of the boy, with his piercing eyes and aura of menace, made Storm's heart skip a beat. He had forgotten about finding the orb for the mage breaker. These past few days had been horrible for him and he didn't have the time or energy to think about the mage breaker."Have you found it?" Magebreaker demanded, his voice a low growl that sent shivers down Storm's spine. Storm glance

“Storm,” the figure said, their voice low. “We need to talk.” Storm, who had been scared, turned and saw Lucy. Calming his heart, Storm smiled at her before speaking.“Lucy, what are you doing here?” he asked. He had expected the creature or the magebreaker, not her. Did she hear the conversation between him and the magebreaker? Had she followed him back? His heart pounded as he thought about it. Would she tell everyone?“I wanted to talk to you about what happened that evening,” she started. Storm looked at her confused; he thought they had already left it. “I just wanted to say sorry again. I shouldn't have done what I did, and I should have asked for help, and I'm sorry. I was selfish, and I regret it. I'm sorry again,” she said hurriedly.Storm stared at her for a few minutes before responding. “I already told you that it was fine.”“I want you to be able to trust me again,” she said, looking at him tearfully. Storm thought about how many days he had left to live, and holding a gr

Storm walked through the empty school halls, his footsteps loud in the silence. His friends were gone, leaving him alone with his worries. The problems he faced felt heavy, making each step hard for him. He needed to find the orb, but it was nowhere to be seen. The fear of not finding the orb kept nagging at him, reminding him of what was at risk. He couldn't die and he also couldn't fight the magebreaker. He needed help in finding the orb but he also couldn't tell anyone about it.Storm’s head ached as he thought about different scenarios,if he found the orb and Magebreaker got it, wouldn't that be worse? He didn't know what the magebreaker wanted to do with the orb but he knew it wasn't for good. But he had to find the orb to save his life. What if the creature went after him if he looked for the orb? He wouldn't survive if he got captured by the creature but if he didn't look for it, magebreaker would kill him. Looking around,Storm noticed there were flowers blooming all around like it was summer when in fact it was winter. The vibrant colors of the petals, the lush green of the leaves, and the sweet scent of roses filled the air, creating a calm and beautiful atmosphere. Storm's worries had stopped immediately he got to the garden,it was an ability of the garden. It was like the place was not affected by the changes of weather. Though this was not his first time coming here, he was shocked by his realization. The garden seemed to exist in a bubble, untouched by the harshness of the cold that the rest of the world felt.Storm only felt warm as he walked into the garden. He loved coming here, he enjoyed how warm it was when it was cold outside. His mind raced as he thought of different possibilities like the orb being inside the garden.Everyone had always thought that the School's garden remaining Summer all through was just because of a spell cast there, they didn't know who had cast the spel

This discovery got Storm excited, but he knew that he couldn't be too happy. He had to look for the orb. Now he was sure that the Orb was in the garden, but how was he going to start to search for it? The garden was vast, each corner potentially held the Orb. Since he had been coming to the garden,he hadn't gone through the whole garden. He never saw a reason to,he had only enjoyed sitting on the bench in the garden. The garden comforted him everytime he came here. He thought about the possibilities of the orb being there. The Orb being in the garden didn't mean that it wouldn't have any restrictions. The thought of the orb's power sent a shiver down his spine. If it were left unguarded, the power of the orb alone was enough to keep the whole school in one season and also many other wonders. But at the moment, the power of the orb was confined to the garden, and he was thinking of how to get it. The orb's power was not something to be toyed with, and he knew that he wouldn't find it ea

  • The Rise of the Algorithm King   Chapter 131

After thinking for a while, Storm realized that he might not be powerful enough to remove the Orb. The weight of this realization settled heavily on his shoulders. The orb wasn't ordinary, it carried a lot of power, and he wouldn't be able to take it on his own. He thought about his friends,he couldn't ask them for help because he didn't want to get them involved and didn't want to drag them into his chaotic life. His friends had their own battles to fight, their own lives to live. Involving his friends would only put them in unnecessary danger and complicate things further. He couldn't afford that; he wanted his friends journey in school to be smooth, unlike his own. Maybe he should ask just one person for help and tell them to keep it a secret. Would that person agree? He thought about Lucy, she had wanted the orb all along, maybe she would agree to help him."She definitely wouldn't after what happened," he thought. Storm sighed and kicked a pebble into the pond, watching as

“ What are you going to do to me?” Derek asked. He glared at Storm who didn't seem to care about the way he looked at him.“Derek, King of hell. You are hereby banished for the three realms. You would live in exile for the rest of your life. You are forever immortal and no matter what you do, you would never die. Birds would feed on you, you would never find peace no matter what you do.” Derek laughed maniacally after he spoke. As Storm turned to leave, Derek yelled, “I hope you die just like your parents did.” Storm paused at the door and only glanced at him before he left.Walking out of the palace, he noticed that everywhere was quiet, except for the hoots of owls. Storm didn't waste much time and closed the gate to the three realms. The gate to the three realms was a portal of unimaginable power and complexity, he quickly shut the portal, severing the connection between the three realms that had caused so much chaos. The air around the gate shimmered with a lot of energy. The atm

“What are you waiting for?” Immediately, he heard the voice, he turned and looked at Storm in shock, not knowing what to say. Derek stared at Storm speechless, he was supposed to be dead. At that moment, Storm was more like a celestial being. All his injuries had been healed, and he was looking like a newly transformed person. The transformation was so astonishing that it left him speechless, his mind raced as he stared at Storm. How was this possible? He should be dead? Derek quickly glanced at Storm's right hand and noticed it was intact, he looked around him but still saw the severed hand beside him. How was that possible? This shouldn't be happening. It wasn't a part of his plans, everything he had learnt about the Orb didn't have to do with this. Could it being a dead person back to life?Storm stood there, looking strong and his body glowed as bright as the orb. His once tattered clothes were now different , better than before and his skin had no injury on it. The contrast betw

Derek had told him he was supposed to die at the end, he didn't believe him at first but here he was lying on the floor on the verge of dying.Storm remembered the faces of his friends. Feel at home!" the voice boomed, reverberating off the whole place. Storm's heart skipped a beat. He paused, squinting into the shadows, trying to pinpoint the source of the voice. "That must be Lillian's father," he muttered under his breath, his muscles tensed as he took a defensive stance. He knew he had to stay on his guard. The voice had an eerie, almost mocking quality, and he couldn't afford to let his guard down for a second. He scanned his surroundings, every nerve on edge, his senses heightened.Without caring about anything else, he rushed towards the direction where he had felt the Orb. His pulse quickened as he neared it, the air growing colder and heavier with each step. The chamber seemed to stretch endlessly, shadows dancing on the walls like malevolent spirits. But much to his shock, he was not attacked. Rather, everywhere was calm, making him frown. Still, he walked forward, his steps echoing in the eerie silence of the grand hall. Stepping into the palace, he felt a sense of warmth overcome him, as though he had just arrived home, and this made him anxious. The warmth was unexpected, he hadn't felt this warmth in a long time. The last time he felt this warm was at the garden when the Orb was still there and this thought unsettled him deeply. He had expected more creatures, resistance, a fight, or at the very least, Mage breaker or the King of hell. Storm thought about the King of hell and what he would look like. He wondered why he didn't have a better name instead of the King of hell, he also thought about the Magebreaker. Where they working together? Storm wasn't sure but he hadn't seen the Magebreaker since and he definitely knew he had to fight the Magebreaker too. Storm looked around still expecting creatures to come out of anywhere

  • Chapter 149

Three days later, a disorganized Storm stood at the edge of the forest, his eyes fixed on a huge palace in the distance. The palace didn't look anything like the realm, it looked too perfect, not a single thing missing from it, its grand spires piercing the sky, and its massive walls adorned with intricate carvings and ceiling to floor windows. The surrounding area was like a garden, it had beautiful flowers surrounding it with winding paths leading up to the palace gates. Even though Storm was disheveled and looking wretched, his clothes torn and dirt-streaked, there was a fire in his eyes, an undeniable energy coursing through his veins. His life over the past three days took a toll on him but his determination hadn't changed. As he stood there, catching his breath, he couldn't help but think about everything he had been through and what he had endured. The forest around him was alive with the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves, a stark contrast to the violence he had face

Just as Lillian left, Storm sighed and began his journey, heading directly to the palace. He looked around the realm and sighed again, he thought about all that he would have to fight before getting to the palace. Storm looked around and only noticed the hooting owls sitting on dead trees. They stared at him wide-eyed as he passed, this made his skin crawl. He stared at the tall mountains that seemed to mock him. He knew the palace would be on the other side of the mountain and this made him even more worried, he would have to fight a lot of creatures before getting there. Storm thought about all his friends, he had to do this for them. His thoughts shifted to his family, why did they keep a book about the orb in the library if they didn't want anyone to find it? Storm had never met his parents, they died when he was only a child so he didn't have any memories of them, just his grandfather. His grandfather had always told him he was stronger than he thought, he never believed him but
