Chapter Fifty-Four

“It is a comedy, honey,” Milton said, rubbing his wife adoringly.

Samantha pouted, lifted her eyes, and sighed dramatically, “you are enjoying this.”

Milton shrugged, “so much.” He then winked.

This was more of their honeymoon than one weekend alone. Samantha was relieved to have him this close. She was regretting what she had said about him, nevertheless, she was trying to push it back since Milton asked her to.

She could see genuine care for Milton. He liked her.

And to make it better, he kept assuring her that they were working hard in finding out who killed Genos. And since she was beginning to trust him and she believed in her brother, for the first time in her life, Samantha Genos was letting it go.

“I am sorry Dad, I am not turning the town upside down while painting it red. We will find who killed you, I promise.” These are the words she told herself every night before she fell asleep.
