Chapter Fifty-Six

The owner of the accessory shop was on his knees but didn’t look sorry at all. In fact, if it weren’t for Findley holding him, he would have jumped at Milton.

Milton sat in the boss’ chair, glaring at the boss. His veins were bulging. He couldn’t believe that a few hours ago, he promised himself not to be cruel. The men like him were showing him the world was cruel and for survival, he wanted to be fierce too.

How could they throw eggs at him even after he repeatedly asked them to stop so they could hear his side of the story? And where did they get the eggs from?

He had beaten one of the guards who was at the corner whimpering like a baby.

The other woman who pulled his nose was beside the boss, at least she looked sorry.

Dominic and Erica were outside speaking to the employees so they would get to the bottom of it all.
