Chapter One Hundred Eight

Throughout the journey, Lucinda and Tiwari saw a different side of Milton Jackson. He was carefree and answered all the questions they were always scared to ask.

Today, Milton answered all of them without asking many of his own about himself and his parents. He opened up like a flower in the morning at the sight of the sun.

Even as he answered them about his life at the orphanage, he selected the good memories he had. He told them about their visitors. He told them how glad he was whenever someone met the people who would adopt him.

By the time the pilot told them they were about to land, Tiwari and Lucinda wanted to scream at the pilot.

Milton ensured Lucinda was okay and she had no back pains. He pestered her to the point Lucinda joked, “if you must know, I was an olympian back in the day. I am stronger than you.”

“Okay,” Milton replied.

“What about me? I wasn’t aware of this plan. This is the second time we are here without prior notice.” Tiwari complained.
